NFFC Entry Fee?

I see no problem in raising the entry fee. $1600 is still cheaper then WCOFF, but maybe an even $1500 would still accomplish some goals and keep more newbies making the switch.

$250 referral fee for getting a 2006 wcoff owner should do the trick. Bountyhunting at it's finest

Is getting more money for finishing in 3rd (but still losing money based on the entry fee) going to generate more business for the NFFC?

Just something to think about...

Glenngreg - remember "The Gekko Plan" in 20042005? Reread it and see the ideas that were mentioned. That Plan belongs next to the Declaration of Independence

I don't think many people would have a problem with an increase. Sounds like a great idea, as long as we increase the prize money accordingly. Great idea

CC's is absolutely correct about WCOFF's mandatory event fee -- what a joke. In particular, the folks in Atlantic City got completely ripped off. For $165, you got a "free" meal consisting of a mini hamburger and 2 chicken wings -- but only if you waited about 20 minutes. Drinks were available at a cash bar -- there were no freebies, including coffee or soft drinks. I think they gave out tickets to a Viewing Party for Sunday's games -- doubt many people went to that. Yep, that's your event right there.

The time is right for the NFFC to explode. Just need the right marketing... I agree...especially the last line "Just need the right marketing"...whether it is an increase in entry fee, switch to KDS/3RR or both...a well thought out marketing campaign is key (I hear T.O.'s "publicist" is looking for work).

Re-post that Gekko Plan!

I'd like to see how many "new" ideas it has.

I agree with Gekko. Average fans don't spend $1,250 on fantasy football, let alone $1,500. The clientelle you are seeking won't be bothered with the extra $250.

I would advocate raising the league prizes more and leaving the overall money the same. I know their is a some cachet to having the larger grand prizes, but I would personally rather have larger league prizes.

I think the $5,000.00 to $6,000.00 league winner prize would instantly put it on par with the grandaddy.

Winning your league is the goal...or at least the first goal.

Winning it all is a free-for-all that rewards the hot team over a short term.

I can tell you as a disgruntled WCOFF player i am and will come over and bring as many as i can over with me.

- Greg let me ask you. is competing head to head with WCOFF on the week of NFL startup the reason you don't want to switch weekends or is it just a choice?
