Looking for history of NFFC

Post by topman » Tue Jul 31, 2007 2:09 am

This is my first year in the NFFC.
I feel a little behind the teams that have been drafting here the last few years.
Being new I was wondering if there is a way to see some data from previous years.
Is there away to see the ADP of last years draft? How many of which positons were drafted on each team? Is there a way to see the waiver wire moves from last year(Who was picked up/who was dropped)?

I appreciate any help that can be provided.

I'm not the expert topman, but I would suggest to forget about last year, and look at the expectations for this year coming up. That's my strategy...
Projection 2010: Either winning my Classic LV/Chicago Dual League, or making it to the Catalina Wine Mixer.

Jive Turkey....I have to say that I personally disagree 100% with this advice for Topman. Since he is new to NFFC and possibly high-stakes fantasy football, he should look at all past empircal data to understand the scoring system as well as ADP so he can gauge where people take certain positions.

Welcome aboard Topman!

Topman, as far as finding the way to get the data you have requested, just send ask Greg or Tom they will point you in the right direction. Otherwise their is a ton of people here who will help you find what you are looking for.

I think Greg & Tom are in Vegas right now for the Porn Awards Show.....

I agree with FISHER. Empircally speaking, you should take your Defense/Special Teams no later than the 6th round, and your Kicker prior to the 9th round break. Also, Quarterbacks tend to fly off the board in the first couple of rounds, so don't be left out in the cold.

Hey topman I think I've picked up the "NFFC" way pretty fast over the past couple of weeks by just going to the website and reading the informative posts. Queens is right though, kickers become scarce after the 9th, and sometimes before the 7th, if they're having a good preseason.

I agree with Fisher here. One thing I might suggest is to get into a $100 Satellite league. This will give you good insight into how things may go in the Main Event.

Good luck!

If you go to your homepage; your 2007 main event team will be listed as NFFC 2007. If you go to that team you will be able to access all 2006 draft results for all leagues in addition to all 2006 waiver activity for all leagues. Draft results will be found under the heading of Roster and the waiver activity will be found under the heading Transactions.

Topman,

As an FYI, last year, the eventual champion hit on their first 7 picks of the draft. This is where you need to focus! The Champ had Jackson and Gore. This is why they eventually beat out the LT owners of the world IMO.

Their first 8 rounds went:

RB/WR/RB/WR/WR/QB/TE/WR

I hope this helps. If you want more info feel free to PM me.
