#1 thing to remember when analyzing multi-year data...NEVER NEVER NEVER use year one data in the analysis.
use 2005 and 2006 (through week 9) and post the results. thanks.

thx for the analysis Ted, but as I've said before, using data from the entire draft creates irrelevant statistical noise. After 4 rounds it's a free for all, slot doesn't mean much.
I'd be interested in seeing scoring from the first 4 rounds (with injuries notated); that is where slots makes a difference.

Do not hold your breath for this data unless you want to send me all of the drafts from these past two years in an excel spreadsheet. Then I will do some serious crunching.
use 2005 and 2006 (through week 9) and post the results. thanks I will do that sometime later tonight with and without 2004 and thru wk 9 of this year. Though it is probably better to wait until the end of this years regular season to do this. (which I will)

Ignore year one.
Ignore the post season.
Use weeks 1-9 of this season.

Do these numbers show that the current system needs to change? Ted, always good stuff and great effort!
I like how GG wants 2004 not to count but using Weeks 1-9 is OK?
2004 counts for sure.
Put 2006 in after Week 13 and then lets see if there is some drastic difference.
4-5 points per week is the noise IMO. That's where the injuries, etc affect the numbers.
If the weekly diff is 10 pts after 3 years, I would do something. JMO

I will be doing it for all 16 weeks for the past two years. I did not have time to pull the other data and will later tonight or tomorrow. I will post this stuff here whenever I get it done.

Please don't post Week 9 info. It doesn't mean anything. Just look at how the info has already changed from Week 6 to Week 8.

My first thought was that I shouldn't (see above) but now that every team has had there bye, it might be OK and I will update it later this year anyway.
How can I say no to GG?
