Tom, how does the Draftmaster league look in Vegas? This draft is going to be the most fun for me as I much prefer out-drafting someone for sleeper picks rather than outbidding someone for them.

Rick, we are close to filling one league in Vegas. If we come up short in any of the cities, we may make it a 12-team format since there is no movement during the season of any kind. That's just an option, not set in stone.

Great, Tom. Back to Miami, you are right on about them having to throw a lot if the first two preseason games are any indication of their ability to run. Take out a second half 88 yard run against scrubs and they only rushed for 57 yards in two games.

Minor looks absolutely pathetic. The Dolphins have to make a trade to get someone. I don't see how they have any other choice.

The whole bunch of them look bad, not just Minor. If we didn't already know Ricky Williams story you could make an argument for him not wanting to run behind this o-line. I'm beginning to think whoever the qb is will be putting the ball up 40 times a game. Even Antonio Freeman and Derrius Thompson may have value here pretty soon as the #3 receiver.

Freeman is washed up. The Packers desperately needed him last season and he rarely got on the field. Thompson's a dog too. Stay away from both of them.

I wouldn't be surprised if part of Ricky's motivation for retiring beyond his unshakeable desire to get stoned every day, was his reluctance to run behind that woeful line any longer. The flip side is there are rumblings from some of the Miami linemen that it was apparent to them that Williams was beginning to lose it last season.

And now they know why he was losing it. As for Freeman, I keep rooting for him to make a great comeback but he has not been the same since that hit by Deltha O'Neal in preseason three or four years ago. That concussion really messed him up.

He really hasn't been the same he held out after his Pro Bowl season. I got along with him real well when I covered the Packers and always thought he was a good guy. It's too bad he never found the fire after he got his big contract that he had when he was determined to prove (and did for a time) that the Packers got a major steal in the third round of the 95 draft.
