Wayne It calls my name out everytime I drive to the STATS offices!! :D And besides, Las Vegas always is louder in my head!! :D Sin City, here I come.

Seriously, I'd love to meet all of you Windy City dudes and I think I will meet some of you again in Las Vegas the second weekend of NFFC drafts. And I'm very excited about possibly hosting the Chicago events at the Hyatt Regency O'Hare. This site has great potential and it should be the one location where everyone can get together and do many of the fun things together.

I did receive more details there and they will provide parking to our NFFC members at $10 a day, which is $10 less than the parking ramp now charges. We have some great savings for you from this deal and I think it's going to work out real, real well. Thanks for pushing me this way guys.

Now let's get a labor agreement in place and free agency rolling. I can't wait for the season ahead.

We obviously can't sign this contract until an NFL labor deal is in place and the Hyatt understands that, but yes I think everything is in place for us to host the Windy City drafts there. I don't think the room block price is in place now because we don't have a signed contract, but those rooms will be there once the contract is signed. So no worries about securing those rooms at that suggested price right now.

I think we're going to get good news this week and a deal will be in place by the 15th. Whether the courts approve the deal by then and all of the legalese is done by then is another point, but I think we're definitely looking at a resolution soon and a full pre-season schedule. Get ready all because the free agent signing season is going to be WILD!!

See ya in Chicago...and New York...and of course LAS VEGAS!! :D

We will likely sign this contract as soon as the NFL lockout is in place, so plan accordingly. Chicago Hyatt Regency O'Hare looks to be our home in 2011 with the nice $89 room block available as soon as the signed contract is received. I'll post the room block code for everyone once that happens and then we'll have the home base secure for the Windy City drafters. Plan accordingly and thanks for your patience all. This should be a solid weekend of drafting in Chicago.

Also, don't forget guys about the new Rivers Casino in nearby Des Plaines right next to the Hilton Garden Inn very close to Rosemont. You can still get your Vegas fix while in Chicago. I will be in Vegas this year for the drafts but will report back here on the boards how the new casino is which has its opening to the general public tomorrow, Monday.

I only live 10 min away so I might visit there more than once

We're moving well in Chicago for the Friday Auction League at 11 a.m. as we're already halfway full. We're happy to welcome back Donald Thompson of Shelby, Michigan as he's returning to the live NFFC events in Chicago for the first time in a few years. WELCOME BACK DON!! Don wants to do auction s so badly that he's signed up for the 11 am and 4 pm auctions in the Windy City. He will switch to the DC at 4 pm if needed, but would prefer two auctions in one day. I like the attitude Don!! :D

Welcome back and let's fill up those last seven spots. This should be a great, great weekend in the Windy City at our new host hotel, the Chicago Hyatt Regency O'Hare.

If I stay at the host hotel.Which airport is the best to fly into? Are both a viable option?

From the Hyatt Regency Ohare site posted below:

Free shuttle from ORD every 15 minutes or a $45-65 shuttle/cab ride from MDW?

ORD is real close (10 minutes?) and if you come from MDW you pass right by ORD on your 30-45 minute ride.

I would suggest ORD unless airfare pricing and availability make MDW a better choice.

Transportation
To / From O'Hare International Airport:

Complimentary Shuttle Service - Take advantage of our 24 hour, complimentary shuttle service, which runs every 15 minutes from our hotel near O’Hare airport. Follow the red Shuttle signs at the airport to the designated pick-up area, O'Hare bus / Shuttle Center Door One. Shuttle buses are blue with white signage that reads Hyatt Regency O'Hare. For pick-up from the international terminal guests must call the hotel directly.

Taxi – Service is available on a first come, first serve basis from the lower level curb of all terminals. All taxis are metered. Approximate cost O'Hare to Hyatt Regency is $10 - $12.

To / From Midway Airport:

Omega Airport Shuttle – Shuttles leave Chicago Midway Airport every hour between 7:00 am and 10:00 pm. Travelers are picked up at door #3 at Chicago Midway Airport. Cost is $45.00 per person. Telephone: 773-483-6634.

Taxi - Service is available on a first come, first serve basis outside of the baggage claim area. All taxis are metered, except for flat fare into downtown Chicago. Approximate cost Midway to Hyatt Regency is $65.00.

Local Transportation:
Our newly renovated hotel near Rosemont Convention Center is also conveniently located close to the L-Train. Guests can either take the complimentary shuttle to O'Hare and catch the train there, or they can take a short walk to the nearby Rosemont Station. From either station, guests can be in downtown Chicago in just a few minutes. Stop by the Concierge desk for L maps and schedules.
