Week 4 Thoughts
I really liked Steve Smith and I'm kicking myself for not going after him more aggressively in my main league draft. I didn't envision him becoming a stud like he has been but I believed he could be a fine WR3 in PPR leagues.
One thing that's jumped out at me the past two years with PPR leagues is the number of WRs who become available during the season who can deliver (at worst) solid production. Last season it was guys like Lance Moore, Greg Camarillo and Davone Bess who all were found on the Waiver Wire and became strong WR3s or better. This season, we're seeing Sims-Walker, Nate Burleson and Earl Bennett emerge and maybe we're on the verge of seeing guys like Nate Washington, Kenny Britt and Mohamed Massaquoi. Some or all of these guys could be found on the Waiver Wire when the season began.
Will that lessen the need to find a stud WR or two in the early rounds? I think that's something to think about. I still think the value of a top RB is near impossible to understate. Perhaps the ability to find more serviceable (at worst) WRs in PPR formats will lead to more RBs being targeted early next season.

Week 4 Thoughts
I'm talking about in general terms and not just specifically about the NFFC format. Looking at the FAAB bidding, Sims-Walker was acquired in seven Classic leagues and seven Primetime leagues before Week 3. Using another example, Mario Manningham was acquired in 19 Classic leagues after Week 1.
So my point stands - there do seem to be a number of WRs who emerge as viable WR3s at worst as the season goes along. I think it's easier to find guys who can provide that type of help in PPR formats at the WR position than it is to find someone you can plug in as a viable starter at RB on a consistent basis.

Agree 100%.

Thoughts? ...I tend to agree with most here TK but I'd be willing to wager that Simms-Walker, Burleson, Bennett and Britt) by some of us anyway) ALL were DRAFTED and not available on the WW in the vast majority of the NFFC Mains...GK [/QUOTE]I agree Glenn as all of these guys were drafted in both my NFFC Classic and Primetime Leagues. After week 2 someone dropped Walker in my NFFC classic league and he went for over $700. I bid on him but only bid $433 as I really wasn't that desperate for a wr as my wr core is pretty good (although if he keeps this pace up I probably should have bid $800). I drafted him in my NFFC primetime league and am enjoying his production.
I still think in NFFC fomats that it is more important to have a very good wr core along with a very solid QB than it is to have top rbs.

Week 4 Thoughts
I'll add to the Week 2 thoughts:
The 49ers D is good, yes. I thought they would be improved with Singletary at the helm. Not a shocker. What is a shocker is the Saints D. They are stopping the run and forcing turnovers. They look much improved from last year.
E Royal is a bust and B Marshall wasn't too far from E-Royal territory until that unbelievable td late in the game.
Mendenhall looked pretty good. Forget it, M Moore owners.
McFadden = bust. Now he has a torn meniscus. Hello Michael Bush owners (and Fargas??).
P Garcon double digit points 3 weeks in a row- thank you P Manning.
S Smith (Giants) may catch 120 balls. Why not?

Denver is still bad offensively. Their Defense will be exposed over time. They still haven't faced a real Offense.
The Cowpokes suck! Romo hits our bench except for matchups.
Addai is still good. Amazing what being healthy and having a healthy Oline will do for you.
Saints vs. Colts looking more likey each week.
WTF was I thinking taking McFadden in ANY league?
Value? %@%#
