Now that's REALLY something to shoot for! It's a great incentive to get people to sign up for both events, too.

I would assume that the primary owner would have to be the same for both winners for this to kick in -- otherwise I'd consider getting Aunt Mabel, Uncle Charlie and third-cousin, twice removed Nelson involved.

It's something I'm considering as we finalize our plans for everything. Our meetings have centered on sponsorship possibilities and the live events, but I can see us setting a good precedent with this one. Any feedback would be helpful. The odds are so remote with each contest being so different (12/14 teams), that the insurance probably wouldn't be that high.

A shot at a $mil means instant sell outs IMO.

I was kinda surprised at the lower target number for NBC game, but understand why Year 1.

HOWEVER I DON'T KNOW IF THAT IS IN REASON. IF THE TOP PRIZE IS $100,000 FOR BOTH LEAGUES, WHERE DOES THE OTHER $800,000 COME FROM?

EVEN A $500,000 PRIZE SOUNDS LIKE A REACH FOR WINNING BOTH LEAGUES. NOW IF WE CHANGE IT TO WINNER TAKES ALL IF HE CAN WIN BOTH THEN THAT IS DIFFERENT SCENARIO.

NOW WHAT COULD BE IN REASON IS IF YOU WIN BOTH MAIN EVENTS YOU WOULD WIN YOUR $200,000 AND ALSO WIN AN ENTRY INTO BOTH MAIN EVENTS FOR LIFE.

WITH THAT WOULD INCLUDE WHAT EVER CITY YOU WANTED, AIRFARE, LODGING AND A GUEST.

THIS KEEPS IT IN REASON AND ALSO REWARDS FOR THE LONG RUN TOO.

why not shoot for the moon and say 3 million..the only thing he can say is no.Anyways you right they just get an insurance policy anyways.Just like jordans furniture in Boston did.Last they ran a promotion stating any furniture bought before may 1st would be free if the Red sox won the world series.They did and Jordans payed off.This year they did it again, but theSox have to sweep the world series.Anyways ask cc desperado's he won $4000 in furniture.

That's the idea as the first fantasy sports company to offer a $1 million grand prize.

[/QUOTE]Yeah, it would have to be the same principal owner, you couldn't share a team and then hope to get it that way. Principal owner of both.

From an odds standpoint, obviously not everyone would do both events, so it would be tough to do. But 1:392 for our event x 1:396 for the NBC Sports event is interesting. And it's more feasible with a smaller high-stakes event like ours rather than 900+ teams. I'm checking it out now.
