Where Did Top NFFC Teams Draft From Through Week 10?

Okay, I'll keep this data on this thread since it allows folks to compare week-to-week. Here are the Top 31 teams in the NFFC Classic main event (top 10% overall) and the Top 25 teams in the NFFC Primetime main event:

NFFC Classic Main Event

No. 1 - 2 teams
No. 2 - 4 teams
No. 3 - 2 teams
No. 4 - 3 teams
No. 5 - 4 teams
No. 6 - 3 team
No. 7 - 3 teams
No. 8 - 4 teams
No. 9 - 0 teams

** 11 of 14 spots are represented thus far. The top six teams all come from different draft spots (5,6,7,10,8,4). Interestingly, although 8 of the top 31 teams drafted first, second or third, the top team from the No. 1 spot is at 21st overall and the top team from the No. 2 spot is 19th overall. The top teams from the non-represented spots are:

No. 14 - 37th overall
No. 9 - 50th overall

I know it's early in the bye week schedule, but it's interesting to see how many teams in the NFFC Classic Top 31 drafted from the 5-8 spots. Right now 45% of our Top 31 drafted from those spots in the NFFC Classic main event, compared to only 24% in the NFFC Primetime main event. I can't explain that right now, but it's interesting.

This is still a moving puzzle, but it's interesting.

Among some of the players who were drafted in the 5-8 range based on the NFFC's ADP:

1st round - Barber, Gore
2nd round - Marshall, Houshmandzadeh
3rd round - Burress, Jacobs
5th round - Forte, Chambers, Ward, Driver
6th round - Cutler

That's a lot of talent that was drafted in the 5-8 range in the early round this year.

Interesting to see so many teams that are successsful from the top so far in both contests considering the consensus top 3 picks have all been somewhat disappointments thus far...

LT- Injury is a concern each and every week (9th ranked RB)

Westbrook- Got 2-3 points I believe in one game, and didn't play another... doesn't look good for this week either. (11th ranked RB)

AP- If you can stand the swings... (4 points one week, 20 another, he is OK, but very inconsistent) (8th ranked RB)

Greg - Any chance of seeing the top 10% broken down by first round pick? Instead of their assigned slot, by the player they picked?

Ie.

Marion Barber - 4
Frank Gore - 3
Clinton Portis - 3

etc. Okay, Greg, this one is for you. I just did the NFFC Classic, but will do the NFFC Primetime next. First let's look at which players were drafted at each spot and then add them up:

No. 1 - LT, LT
No. 2 - Westy, Westy, Westy, Westy
No. 3 - Westy, Stephen Jackson
No. 4 - Jackson, Peterson, Westy
No. 5 - Barber, Addai, Barber, Jackson
No. 6 - Gore, Gore, Jackson
No. 7 - Barber, Gore, Moss
No. 8 - Gore, Barber, Moss, Colston
No. 10 - Portis, Portis
No. 11 - Gore, Owens
No. 12 - Owens, Wayne

Westy - 6

Also, 17 of the top 31 teams in the NFFC Classic drafted in Las Vegas. Next up: NFFC Primetime.

Okay, here's the latest data on the top teams in both NFFC main events through Week 6. This is getting very interesting, but it's a moving target with all of the byes still going through:

** 12 of 14 spots are represented thus far. Eight of the top 9 teams all come from different draft spots (5,8,4,10,12,6,3,7). It was an interesting week as three teams from the 12th spot and three teams from the 13th spot all entered the Top 31 compared to last week -- 6 teams from 12 and 13. The top teams from the non-represented spots are:

No. 9 - 42nd overall

** There are nine undefeated teams and for of those undefeated teams are in the Top 20 in total points. Interestingly, one of those undefeated teams have a tie, so they are 5-0-1.

** There are six undefeated teams left in the NFFC Primetime, including the top overall team, QUAHOGS. Of the six undefeated teams, four are in the Top 18 in total points.

Wow that is balanced! Absolutely amazing!

The great thing about fantasy football in 2008 is that it's not all about who drafted that "one" player. There isn't a player that changes everything and makes an otherwise average team very good. (ie: Brady last year and LT the year before) Many are exceeding expectations but Forte isn't going to carry an average team all by himself.

Based on this year's results to date it sure is hard to argue with the effectiveness of 3RR.

How and the hell does a team in the top 31 have Addai. The guy must be a genius, oh wait....thats me!!!!!!!
