This week in waivers I got Sims-Walker for $616, Edelman for $229, and L. Hamilton for $69. I'm down to $35 left. lol

That's 35 BANGS!! Eddie! Jack,

L. Hamilton for $69. Nice job. I was tip off about this guy at a seat down I had, by a FF player that knows his stuff. :D I drafted him in some Leagues, but I made sure I have him on everyone of my teams. Yes I over paid for him, but he reminds me of P.Thomas last year and both Bell(Who I also have on most of my teams) and T.Thomas are hurting. This kid could be Gold! :D
Bell (knee) and Moore (hamstring) will be sidelined after being injured against the Philadelphia Eagles. Running back Lynell Hamilton is expected to be active and share the workload with Reggie Bush and Pierre Thomas.

Asked if Hamilton would assume Bell's role against the Bills, Payton replied: "I don't think that's accurate."
Should add on two teams I have Thomas and Bell. :D

i see the other side of the coin...

R.Bush has never been healthy for long. even if he is, he isn't a rb that can get more than 10 carries. the saints are figuring this out. wih lance moore out or at least limited the next couple weeks, they may be using Bush even more as a wr.

something is off with P.Thomas. They played him as a blocker in KICKOFF coverage last week. why would you have your supposed best RB playing kickoff coverage after missing a month with a knee injury. something isn't right here. i read somewhere that Peyton doesn't like P.Thomas much and perhaps this means he's in the doghouse.

M.Bell will be out for a month. the saints lie abut injuries, just like every other team. remember when pierre hurt his knee in preseason. everyone was saying he should be good to go by week 1. well, after week 2 he has ZERO carries and lost first team reps to Hamilton. Don't look for a quick turnaround by Bell. He wants to get back on the field as soon as possible, becuase he sees his window of opportunity closing quickly.

that leaves hamilton as the last man standing. he can get the extra things done that i look for in a feature rb.
1. can catch (led saints in rec in preseason)
2. goaline back (6' 230lbs)

sure he's a powerball ticket, but he's a powerball ticket on the Saints.

I think the wild fluctuation in bench strength throughout the leagues just creates a stronger need for some to bet the farm on the wire. If you got "lucky" w/ drafted depth, then you likely have less need. For example, tho we don't have a true RB1, w/ a stable of Bush, McGahee, Hightower, Wells and Moreno, we didn't even bid on Forsett.

Interesting bids though. Lotsa folks looking for this year's "Insert WR or RB name here". :D

Good luck!

These comments are dead on. The Bears keep trying to change Hester into this. He has improved alot, but it is not natural for him.

I was very surprised by the bids this week....

Across all my leagues, I made what I thought were very competitive bids on Manningham (in the leagues he was still available), Sims-Walker, Knox, Edelman, and Forsett.

In most leagues, I got none of them.

I think I learned a very valuable lesson about high stakes Fantasy Football FAAB.
I don't think team owners are as concerned about saving some dollars as in baseball.
I still can't believe the size of the bids.

Glenn Well you start with the same amount of $$, and it is basically 1/2 the season. I still think once the byes begin next week, there will be some quality players being dropped (already are), and those who saved their pennies might get a few nice deals.

It all depends if the players that are acquired "pan out" or not.

Speaking of baseball, I am still in the hunt for $$$ in 3 of my leagues, and it is really cutting into my football time!!!
