Thanx JP...
We are very lucky to win each week. I think it has to do with the fact that some of the power premiere players this year are all sprinkled on weak drafting teams...
In other words, you will see guys like T.O. , Tiki, Thomas Jones, and alot others drafted by teams who didnt draft any talent around them. This means that the H2H winner our league most likely will be atleast 10-3 and most likely 11-2.
We play signs of chaos next week...then play Pocket Aces in a big game without Hines Ward and Andre Johnson...
Sitting @ 4-1 now, Kate & Halle are happy but were not 100% thrilled about our draft.
At any rate, good game! And best of luck rest of the way

We're dead money at 2-3 here, but we're in the thick of things in the Auction. In the Auction Droughns was a great fill-1n for Priest this week and will be there for Tiki's bye next week. With Moulds, Colbert, Stokely, Bennett and Andre Davis, I'm going to have big trouble with "who do I start".
This week my Auction team left Andre Davis' 21.1 on the bench.

Paul,
How do you like the auction league? I have never done any type of auction style league and was wondering if it was something I would be interested in.

Liquid,
My first Auction was a WCOFF auction last year. It was the most fun I've ever had at a draft. After that I knew I'd be in an Auction every year.
Let me tell you why it's great. First of all you're making decisions every second. In a serpentine draft, expecially with 14 teams, you make a decision then go into hibernation for 10 or 15 minutes. In an Auction you're making decisions constantly. If not on that player, you're looking ahead at what you need, analyzing your budget and planning your end game.
Then there's getting players you want. At slot 12 in NFFC I knew I couldn't get a recognized very good RB. Yes, if I had knowledge of the future I could have taken Tom Jones or Tiki or Curtis but nobody knew that. More likely I could take mediocre guys like Barlow, Dillon, Taylor, etc. I didn't want that so I had to ago against the way I really wanted to structure my team. In an auction, you structure your team the way you want.
I wanted a stud RB. I got Priest. I wanted a good second RB, I got Tiki.
WRs are so deep that value always is available. I got Stokely when everybody was broke for $1.
Then there's the poker aspects. You can play the dangerous game of bidding up players. You can be silent early and enter bidding late or you can bid frequently so guys don't know if you're really targetting a particular player...or both. You can use humor to entertain, or humor to deceive.
Bottom line, I love the Auction.

Sounds like alot of fun...I may try it next year in NFFC.
In respect to our main league NY6, I think that the best upside pick for you at the 11th spot was Dante Culpepper. I am not just saying this now because he is a beast thus far...but I went into the draft thinking he was gonna toss 45 TDs this year. My friend in NY League #3 took Culp @ 13 and is now 5-0. He has Dillon and CMart and that is really all he has.

Culpepper went at 1.11, I had 1.12. Moss was gone also. Your friend was very luck to get Martin at 3.11, he went at 2.12 in NY6. The guy I really wanted in the 3rd was Dunn, but he went at 3.11, leaving squat, zilch, nada.
With 20/20 hindsight the best I could have done was Westbrook in the 1st and Tom Jones in the 2nd.

If you look @ our draft board...the guys in our league did a pretty good job. You missed Culp by 1 and then you missed Terrell Owens by 1 in the 2nd round and then missed Warrick Dunn by 1 in the 3rd....and then you coulda had Andre Johnson in the 4th
So here is your new pseudo lineup -
Culpepper
T. Owens
Warrick Dunn
Andre Johnson
