NFFC Champions League Draft Order

Okay, we'll host our first official NFFC draft of the season on Tuesday, May 7th on MockDraftCentral.com. We've assembled 14 NFFC champs from last season to draft teams for our first issue of Fantasy Sports Magazine and they will play out the league on our site, with first place earning a $500 NFFC Satellite League entry in 2008.

Okay, first off, here's the official draft order after KDS was applied. Good luck everyone:

Here was the random draft order as selected by Tom before KDS was applied. Again, this is NOT the draft order, just the random order before KDS was applied.

It's interesting to note that five owners chose to move down in the draft. I'll showcase all of the KDS preferences next and analyze those a bit.

If you don't apply KDS, owners would get their preference choice of 7.5. After KDS was applied in this instance, on average each owner got a preference choice of 4.5, up three spots per person.

Those who got their preferences were:
1st choice: 1 team
2nd choice: 2 teams
3rd choice: 3 teams
4th choice: 3 teams
5th choice: 1 team
6th choice: 1 team
7th choice: 2 teams
12th choice: 1 team

Now for the 14 KDS choices:

These 14 KDS preferences were as diverse as the owners in this league. Awesome stuff. Two owners chose 14 as their first preference. Four other owners had 14 as their second choice. More than half of the owners chose to go down to the bottom of the draft if they didn't get one of their Top 4 choices. The last two picked out of the hat landed in the middle of the draft.

We'll let the owners talk about their KDS preferences here and get some feedback from them, but this is fun stuff. Let the games begin!

1st pick here. I was surprised to get this pick. I expected a pick towards the bottom, as my KDS was slanted towards the bottom picks.

To me, you can't pass up LT. Obviously the margin of his performance over the other players last year was tremendous. 12 of 14 owners agree with that. Norv Turner will not change his results. However, I think great value will lie in the end picks of 11-14. I would have been happy with one of those picks, too.

14th spot here. Should be interesting.

Here is the average KDS based on the 14 owners.

2nd pick here. Right now I prefer having one of the top 3 or 4 picks but that could change after doing some mock drafts and some in depth analysis of players. With so much rb depth this year and with 3RR, having a pick towards the end of draft from say spots 12-14 might be a better way to go. I'm sure alot of us will be be going back and forth on our KDS preferences this year.

This is great!!!! How can you not like the 3RR? I would of had the 11 pick and moved up 6 spots and get MY choice to pick 5th. What is wrong with that. For me to move up like that is telling me that alot more guys want to draft at the bottom.For me I don't mind the 5 spot. I wouldn't mind any of the spots now that we have 3RR.

3RR makes pretty much about 90% of the guys happy with where they are. Like I said for me I would of been a little disapointed to get the 11 pick if I could flip that for the 5 pick.

I wound up with the seventh pick which was pretty low on my list. I either wanted #1 or to be in the back end of the draft. Looking forward to see how all this RB movement shakes out in the draft.
