The high $$ guys that have gone this year would be there if the rosters were at 20...which is what they are at in the 50 leagues I run every year at 14 teams per.

Manningham, Knox, M.S-Walker, M.Wallace, Massaquoi,B.Green-Ellis have all gone for over 300 faab in my main and were not drafted in any of my 20-man leagues with the exact same scoring.

The extra 14 drafted really don't impact the FA list the way people think they do.

And on the flip side, the extra 19th man doesn't really help you much either. How do you know in advance if your 19th player is backing up someone that will get hurt? He's just one position and you have QB, RB, WR, TE to back up here. Total hit or miss that this player will help you in the playoffs.
Jules is a Dirt bag and makes my luck.

I don't know why, but this post got me thinking how waiver wire pickups are a lot like hookers.
We're just trying to get our money's worth, dammit!! :D
Anything over $200, we're expecting an escort, someone that'll be with you for a long time, and put you over the top.
$50-200, we're hoping for a great time, someone you wouldn't be afraid to be seen with.
Under $50, hey, you never know. Sometimes the quickies are the best. If you don't like this one, there is another down the road at the same price.
We're all just hoping to get lucky!
Alge? Braylon? Knowshon?

[/QUOTE]Nah, happily married.

Getting lucky with that $300 faab player that goes on to play great the rest of the year or getting lucky with a $300 call girl.
Geeky, granted, but I'll take the first option.

19 or more for sure.

Bye weeks and playoff runs are mainly why I want 19+.

A team in the Championship round should have the added depth, even if only one player, to endure that period when they are unable to make a roster move to replace an injured player.

One extra roster spot can make a huge difference during the bye weeks.

I would have no problem going 20 deep in the 14 team leagues.

The 12 team leagues here go 20 deep, why not this challenge too?

I know the argument is going to be that the pool gets too depleted if 14 team leagues go 20 deep. So what? I would rather be able to take my flyer on draft day and stash away that player who could help me during the bye weeks or down the stretch.

Depth. Depth. Depth.
