The cat is out of the bag now, but IMHO Bulger at any spot taken this year should have better value than Manning at 1...But good luck!

Excuse me, but is that a Frisman in your pocket, or are you happy to see me?

Diesel,
I like Bulger very much this year. As a matter of fact, I like the whole Rams Offense! That is why along with Manning in the 1st, I selected Torry Holt in the 2nd Round and Issac Bruce in the 5th Round. I figured, by doing it that way, I would get ALL of Manning's points and MOST of Bugler's points in this tournament.
WINNER

"If you want to win, then you have to put Frisman in." I see $808 in total for Frisman and Crayton. Nice. Matt Jones could outscore them both this week.

KJ Duke,
Only time will tell whether or not the $404 dollars that I spent on both Frisman Jackson and Patrick Clayton was money well spent or money thrown away.
Who knows???
Maybe they both are this year's Boldin!!!
I certainly hope that neither turn out to be Lamar Gordan (when he was the $700 - $800 - $900 pick-up when Faulk got hurt). Because that year he certainly was a flop!
Right now I can tell you this, that after week #1, Frisman Jackson and Patrick Crayton were the highest free agents on my board. Surfice it to say, inany re-draft conducted today - NEITHER PLAYER WOULD GO UN-DRAFTED!
WINNER

Come on, KJ, go easy on WINNERS as at least he wasn't the team that took Culpepper with the 2nd pick of the draft. I'm sure we'll find them in the bottom 10 and WINNERS is far from that ranking. And speaking of rankings, aren't you sitting at 196 while WINNERS is at 68? And before you look, I'm at 102 so don't go bad-mouthing my team either.

"If you want to win, then you have to put Frisman in." Problem is, every week there will be an available guy or two that puts up Frisman/ Crayton numbers, and you won't have to bid 40% of your annual budget to get one.
As for these two, CLE has other quality WRs, so there is virtually no chance Frisman won't flop relative to your expectations. Same for Dallas.
Both could be better than the non-factors they were treated like by the defensive teams in game 1, but they won't be treated that way again unless they disappear for a few games at which point you'd probably have dropped them by then anyway. And neither of these teams have Indy-type passing points to go around to make marginal 3rd/4th receivers valuable starters.
As for "he might be Boldin" - Boldin was a physical WR w good hands out of a major program . Jackson is in his 4th yr out of W Illinios, and as far as I've heard has never been on anyone's radar, including, apparently, the Browns.

With a name like "WINNERS", he is simply inviting criticism (as if he needed to send an invitation).
As for my sterling #196, I am pleased with that rank considering my 3rd and 4th round picks combine for 2 points in week 1! Also, I think I've earned to right to talk about your team too since head-to-head, its 1 win for the Zefurs and 1 loss for the scarecrow.

KJ Duke,
All of the above seems to be extremely well thought out by you and I sincerely appreciate all of your advice. At the risk of repeating myself, only time will tell whether or not I made two astute pick-ups.
In the meantime, back in reality...
ALL I AM TRYING TO DO IS WIN WEEK #2!!!
I THINK THAT I HAVE A BETTER CHANCE OF WINNING...
STARTING FRISMAN JACKSON AND PATRICK CRAYTON...
THEN I DO IN STARTING MATT JONES AND MICHAEL (ZERO POINTS) PITTMAN (both players started for me in week #1)...
To coin an NFL Player Cliche:
I'M JUST TRYING TO TAKE IT ONE GAME AT A TIME!!!!
WINNER

Admit it, with T.O. only needing 6.2 points in the 4th quarter, you were cringing every time McNabb let the ball go in the 4th quarter.

Our teams are similar ... but I think if you take a QB in round one ... you need to take RB's in round's two and three. If Manning throws 45 TD's ... you will need L Johnson to produce. We need either JJ Arrington or Benson to produce. You have a bigger up side. I am deeper at RB.
I think it IS justified ... which is why I did it. If he throws even 45 TD's this year. We should win our league.
I squeeked by the first week with a two point win even though we got zero's from Pittman, Clark and 5 points from JJ (not to mention Balt Def held Manning to 2 TD's and Stover missed 3 FG's!). I think we will do better this week.
Any team with manning on it will be hard to beat in weeks he throughs 4 TD's or more ( and he averaged over 3 last year ).
My Manning team will be interesting to say the least. One thing I have to say about your team is ... if you make the playoffs ... Manning could win you 100,000 bucks if he gets hot weeks 14 - 16! Not too many players can carry you to 100 large!
You just have to get there!
