Moore is a proven PPR option whose outlook has gotten considerably brighter this season. Meachem is talented but has been wildly inconsistent. But people perceive Meachem to have more upside and so he gets pursued more aggressively.
To that I say - please do that in all of my drafts so I can happily scoop Moore up as my WR4 and enjoy WR2 PPR production this season.

The Ravens have acquired Lee Evans. Very nice pickup for them. Evans can still stretch the field and they badly needed a WR like that opposite Boldin. I like Flacco a little more with this pickup but until he shows he can be more consistent I'm not going to get too gung-ho about him. He's currently QB14 in NFFC drafts and that's slightly higher than I'd rank him although I don't see a lot of separation with him, Bradford, Kolb and Cassel.

Any thoughts about getting the Fantasy Sports magazine going again ? I always thought it was a good way to tap into the uninitiated future HSFF player.
I know this year was in a state of flux due to the CBA talks but next year assuming you don't roll out a magazine, how are you planning on reaching that 26 yo who now has disposable income and wants to move on from the free/local leagues ?
Things may seem like they're growing but a good part of that is current players taking down more and more teams. Eventually that will hit a wall...

I know there was no way we could have done a football magazine this year, but we sure miss all those calls from new potential members that were generated from the magazine. And being able to put the photo of our most recent champion on the cover of a national newsstand magazine was a great, great perk.
I don't know if we'll do a magazine next year or not, but it's something to think about. The magazine industry is really in a flux right now and it's not an area of the business anyone really wants to dive into now, especially with advertising revenue in this space at an all-time low. I just don't know how you make ends meet in print anymore, and that's coming from someone who spent the last 30 years in print. But we'll see.
How do you reach those 26 year olds with discretionary income again? Inquiring minds want to know.

Don't lose sight of the fact that your magazine also acted as a springboard for the NFFC/NFBC(not that I have to tell you that of course). Sure the print media/advertising model may no longer work for the the "stand alone" magazines but yours was unique. I really saw it as an NFFC magazine with emphasis on the players along with their written contributions. A good way to catch the eye of someone considering HSFF for the 1st time.

Yeah, there's no question our No. 1 source for new signups each year was the magazine. It was a proven source for generating new players. We always could tell when the magazines first got on the newsstands because that's when we'd start receiving more and more phone calls.

guys, will vincent jackson pick up on where he left off a couple of years ago with the chargers or is he getting picked too high per adp?
also, the broncos at first said that they were looking for a compliment to moreno but then later said he was the man. Can he step up this year like mcfadden did last year?
thanks

thanks Jackson's ADP is definitely on the rise and his performance last night didn't hurt him at all. His ADP is now at 27, but he went 22nd in one of the last drafts we've held. I think he continues to move up and becomes a Top 20 overall pick soon. He has plenty to play for with a new contract waiting for him after this season. He should come up big this year on the field and next year with a new contract.
Willis McGahee is going to make it tough for Moreno to be a breakout star like McFadden was last year. Moreno's ADP is 52 and McGahee's is 190. I'm not predicting Moreno as this year's breakout star and I don't think Tom will be, either.

I posted in the preseason thread last night that on Denver's first drive as soon as they got inside the 5, Moreno came out and McGahee went in. We'll have to see if that continues but that certainly suggests McGahee will be given the first shot at least to be their goal-line RB.
