Post by Tom Kessenich » Wed May 10, 2006 2:39 am

We're happy to welcome back another NFFC veteran as Stanley Agbulos will return to Las Vegas for 2006. Stanley had a rough year in 2005, finishing 6-7 in Las Vegas League 6. But he's aiming for a stronger finish this year and we're thrilled he's back in the NFFC fold. Welcome back Stanley and good luck in the quest for the $5,000 league prize and the $100,000 grand prize.

It's always great to welcome back an original member of the NFFC family and we'll do that now with a hearty welcome to Bill and Don Ezzell of Bedford, Texas. Bill will be returning to Las Vegas for the third straight year as he has signed up for the NFFC 's main event at the Stardust Resort & Casino on Saturday, Sept. 2nd and the $650 Draft Champions League on Friday, Sept. 1st. Bill and Don have also added the NFFC Ultimate League on Sunday, Sept. 3rd, becoming the ninth team to sign up for that $5,000 entry fee league. Team Ezzell had mixed results last year, finishing third in the Draft Champions League and winning $575 with 2,364.65 points, but then finishing out of the money in Las Vegas League 6 with a 7-6 record, placing 177th overall with 1,497.4 points. Welcome back, guys, and best of luck in the hunt for the $100,000 grand prize, the $5,000 league prize, the $4,250 Draft Champions League prize and the $37,500 in Ultimate League prizes.

Rick Tittsler and Janice Simmons of Mequon, Wisconsin joined the NFFC's main event yesterday in Chicago and today they just added the Draft Champions League. Rick said he liked that format and was going to consider that event as well and sure enough he jumped in quickly. We now have nine owners for the Chicago Draft Champions League and the Chicago Auction League, so it looks like we'll fill those up quickly this year. Welcome aboard, Rick and Janice, and best of luck in the hunt for the $4,250 first place prize.

It's been a good week for returning NFFC members as we begin taking signups for our sixth league in the main event. Let's give it up for our 61st returning member from 2005 as Alex Kaganovsky of New York City claims home field advantage in New York for the third straight year. Nag had a shot at the $100,000 grand prize last year as he led his Strictly Business team to a 9-4 record in New York League 6, finishing second to earn $2,500 even though he finished fifth overall in total points with 1,828.65 during the regular season. It was a tough break of the schedule, but Strictly Business made it to the Championship Round and fell short of an additional money finish. Great job, Alex, and best of luck this year in the hunt for the $100,000 grand prize and the $5,000 league prize.
