Who's Coming To The 2006 NFFC And Where?

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Mon Jun 26, 2006 10:31 am

John Barkow and Barry Kohlhoff have decided to sign up for the trifecta in Las Vegas as they just added the $650 Draft Champions League on Friday, Sept. 1st. JB is correct that this might be his best league as now he can't second guess himself each Sunday when he's making out the starting lineups! :D They become the 10th signup for this $650 league as we're close to filling this one up. Welcome back guys and I'll buy the first few rounds in Sin City!!! Oh, and best of luck in the hunt for the $4,250 league prize.

Wow, the Cheeseheads are really coming out in full force today and making me mighty proud! :D Let's give it up for our 90th team from 2005 to come back in 2006. Scott Wieland of Madison, Wisconsin had a shot at the $100,000 grand prize last year as he led his Soupdogs team to a second place finish in Las Vegas League 3 with a 10-3 record, placing 34th overall with 1,721.2 points. He was in the same league with our eventual champion, Josh and Sid Ferenc, but he won $2,500 for finishing second and then finished 25th in the Championship Round after scoring 488.0 points. His Soupdogs team finished just out of the playoffs with a 6-7 record and 1,525.3 points. This year Scott is coming back for the main event and the $1,250 Auction League, becoming our seventh team for that debut auction league. Welcome back Scott and best of luck in the hunt for the $100,000 grand prize, $5,000 league prize and $8,000+ in Auction League prizes.

We now have 14 signups for the $650 NFFC Auction League in Las Vegas, but we'll keep taking more as we had two $650 Auction Leagues last year. Our latest returnee is Jim Pieper of Longmont, Colorado, who led his Team Wagoner to a third place finish last year. Team Wagoner finished 10-3 during the regular season, placing fourth with 1,651.65 points before winning two of three playoff games, losing to eventual champion Follow Me in the semi-finals. This year Jim will be teaming with his son Jared in the Auction League. Welcome aboard guys and best of luck in the hunt for the $4,000+ in league prizes.

Ted Kasten of Chicago, Illinois becomes our 10th signup for the $650 Draft Champions League in Las Vegas as he returns for the third straight year. Ted is the owner of DraftDynamix.com and it's likely we will have a promotion for our NFFC members from him soon. Team Kasten scored 2,018 points in last year's Las Vegas Draft Champions League to finish out of the money, but Ted is expecting a better finish this year. Welcome back Ted and best of luck in the hunt for the $4,250 league prize.

Michael Lins of Hillsborough, New Jersey has joined the NFFC for the first time this year after being in the NFBC the last two years, but I love his zest for this already! :D He's already signed up for the main event in New York and a pair of satellite leagues and today he signed up for the Auction League in New York on Friday, Sept. 1st, stating he would be willing to do a $1,250 league if possible. We'll add you to the $650 list right now Michael as we now have 12 owners signed up for that league right now. Welcome aboard and best of luck in the hunt for the $4,000+ in league prizes.
