Who's Coming To The 2006 NFFC And Where?

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Tue Aug 15, 2006 9:59 am

We have 12 spots left in New York for the main event after the arrival of another returning member of the NFFC family. I'm glad to welcome back Ken St. George of Cortland Manor, New York as he grabbed a spot in the big dance at the New York Hilton on Saturday, Sept. 2nd. Ken led his Doomsday team to a 6-7 record in New York League 2 last year, finishing with 1,393.5 points. Welcome back Ken and best of luck this year in the hunt for the $100,000 grand prize and the $5,000 league prize.

We now have eight full leagues for the main event in New York and we're working on a ninth one thanks to the return of Perry Lin of Hoboken, New Jersey. Perry competed in Las Vegas last year, but he's sticking closer to home and joining us for the main event at the New York Hilton on Saturday, Sept. 2nd. Perry led Team Lin to a 6-7 record in Las Vegas League 7 last year, placing 118th overall with 1,568.75 points. We're glad to have you back again Perry and we wish you best of luck in the hunt for the $100,000 grand prize and the $5,000 league prize.

Who wants the last spots in New York? :D Let's get it done and I'll keep working on the Hilton for extra space!

We've equalled last year's total for the main event of 280 teams and filled up our 20th league with the arrival of our newest member to the growing NFFC family. Let's give it up for Ronald Eltanal of Glen Ellyn, Illinois as he becomes our 70th owner in Chicago, closing out our fifth full league in the Windy City. Ronald is new to our high-stakes events but we welcome him with open arms. Thanks for your trust and support Ronald and best of luck in the hunt for the $100,000 grand prize and the $5,000 league prize.

20 FULL LEAGUES OVERALL AND FIVE FULL LEAGUES IN CHICAGO! Let's keep it going this week and fill this up!

We begin our sixth league in Chicago for the main event and 21st league overall this morning with the arrival of a returning team from the 2005 event. I'm glad to welcome back the tag team of Michael and Steven Skinner of Huron Township, Michigan as they will be joining us once again at the Chicago Oakbrook Marriott on Saturday, Sept. 2nd. Michael and Steven led their Pittsmans Bloods team to a 5-8 record in Chicago League 3 last year, placing 161st overall with 1,518.25 points. The Pittsmans Bloods then placed 70th overall in the Consolation Round with 489.69 points. Welcome back guys and best of luck in the hunt for the $100,000 grand prize and the $5,000 league prize.

We're closing in on our seventh full league in Las Vegas thanks to the arrival of an original member of the NFFC family. Let's give it up for the return of the brother-duo Nestor and Oscar Solamillos of Las Vegas, Nevada as they will be joining us at the Stardust Resort & Casino in Las Vegas on Saturday, Sept. 2nd. Nestor and Oscar competed in the NFFC in 2004 and have competed in the NFBC the last two years, but their schedules wouldn't permit a return to the NFFC last year. We're glad they could make it for football this year and we wish them best of luck in the hunt for the $100,000 grand prize and the $5,000 league prize. Thanks guys and I'll see ya in Las Vegas.

We're going to fill a sixth league in Chicago this year, I can just feel it. We're already working on it as another returning member from 2005 has signed up for the 2006 big dance. Let's give it up for the tag team of Glen Brien of Woodridge, Illinois and his co-manager, Geoff Chiarelli, as they have signed up to compete on Saturday, Sept. 2nd at the Chicago Oakbrook Marriott. Glen and Geoff led their Perfect Spiral team to a 6-7 record in Chicago League 4 last year, placing 95th overall during the regular season with 1,594.25 points and 61st overall in the Consolation Round with 494.19 points. Welcome back guys and best of luck in the hunt for the $100,000 grand prize and the $5,000 league prize.

Chris Fargis of Brooklyn, New York has been so busy on the professional poker circuit that he almost missed out on our high-stakes football event. Chris joined us in Las Vegas in March for just about every NFBC event we had to offer and he was shocked to see we were close to filling up in New York for football. He's locked into the main event at the New York Hilton on Saturday, Sept. 2nd and will gladly take an Ultimate League spot if anyone steps out. Welcome aboard Chris and best of luck in the hunt for the $100,000 grand prize and the $5,000 league prize.
