Who's Coming To The 2006 NFFC And Where?

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Wed Aug 16, 2006 10:32 am

We've had a good run on Chicago signups today as we continue to work on our sixth league for the main event there. We're glad to welcome back another original member of the NFFC family as Michael Ratajczyk of Lansing, Michigan will head to the Chicago Oakbrook Marriott for the first time. Michael has competed in Las Vegas the last two years and his Beaverhunters team tied for the Las Vegas League 5 title with a 10-3 record, but lost the tie-breaker on total points and finished third to win $500. His 1,733.65 points were 30th overall, which means he missed a wild card spot by just two spots. Great season, Michael, and better luck this year in the hunt for the $100,000 grand prize and the $5,000 league prize.

New York is officially at 116 signups for the main event as we welcome back another member from 2005 to the 2006 big dance. Let's give it up for Troy Young of Bridgeport, Connecticut as he will be returning to the New York Hilton on Saturday, Sept. 2nd. Troy led his TOPDOGG team to a 5-8 record in New York League 5 last year, finishing with 1,351.35 points. Troy is excited about this year's competition and he was glad to get one of the final spots in this year's event. Welcome back Troy and best of luck in the hunt for the $100,000 grand prize and the $5,000 league prize.

We have less than 10 guaranteed spots left in New York as we welcome back another returning member from the 2005 event. Let's give it up for the tag team of Michael Davis and Ralph Giordano of Hasbrouck Heights, New Jersey as they will be joining us again at the New York HIlton on Saturday, Sept. 2nd for the main event. Michael and Ralph led The Blaylocks to a 5-8 record last year in New York League 5, placing 102nd overall with 1,590.2 points and 15th overall in the Consolation Round with 549.18 points. Welcome back guys and best of luck in the hunt for the $100,000 grand prize and the $5,000 league prize.

We're glad to welcome back Aaron Seefeldt of Northbrook, Illinois to the NFFC's main event as it took a little arm twisting to get him back for a third season. Aaron is already signed up for the NFFC Auction League in Chicago, but he wasn't sure he could swing the main event until recently. Last year he led his Double Dippin on Sundays team to a 7-6 record in Chicago League and placed 61st overall with 1,644.95 points, missing a league money finish by just 1.35 points. He was the points leader in that league until Terrell Owens and Donovan McNabb went down and out, but Aaron is hoping for better fortune this year. Welcome back Aaron and best of luck in the hunt for the $100,000 grand prize and the $5,000 league prize.

We're inching closer to a sellout in New York for the main event as we now have 118 paid signups thanks to the arrival of our newest member of the NFFC family. Let's give it up for Dino Maye of Dorschester, Massachusetts as he will be joining us for the NFFC's main event on Saturday, Sept. 2nd at the New York Hilton. Dino is new to our high-stakes events, but he's extremely excited to join us in the Big Apple. Welcome aboard Dino and best of luck in the hunt for the $100,000 grand prize and the $5,000 league prize.

Todd Lewis of New York City has grabbed one of the remaining spots in the NFFC's main event at the New York Hilton as he will be back for a third season. It's always good to welcome back an original member of the NFFC family as Todd becomes our 119th signup in New York. Last year Todd led his CHIPS LEADER team to a 7-6 record in New York League 7, placing 111th overall with 1,580.7 points and 36th overall in the Consolation Round with 521.10 points. Welcome back Todd and best of luck in the hunt for the $100,000 grand prize and the $5,000 league prize.

Joseph Lundberg of Arlington Heights becomes our 76th team in Chicago to grab a spot in the main event on Saturday, Sept. 2nd at the Chicago Oakbrook Marriott as we're making a push for six full leagues there. Joseph is familiar with the NFFC as he has been involved with William Jansons and is now taking his own team in this year's event. Welcome aboard Joseph and best of luck in the hunt for the $100,000 grand prize and the $5,000 league prize.

Jim Ferrari of San Diego, California becomes our 12th owner to sign up for the $1,250 Auction League in Las Vegas on Friday, Sept. 2nd as he just cleared his schedule for this event. Jim led Team Ferrari to a solid season last year in Las Vegas Auction League 1, but it failed to result in any prize money. Team Ferrari went 8-5 and finished second in total points with 1,738, just missing first place by 5 points. Team Ferrari received a first round bye, but lost in Weeks 15 and 16 in the playoffs. This year Jim is ready to capture the $8,000+ in league prizes and we welcome him to this debut event.

That's 12 for this event and I have at least one other owner interested in the $1,250 Auction League. We'll definitely get this one filled, so plan on these 12 owners plus two more in this league. Thanks everyone.
