NFFC Champions Magazine League Openings

I thought there were several great values in addition to Roddy White.

Boldin at 3.1 - highest point/game last year at WR.

Bowe was a very nice value at 3.9

Gonzalez at 5.4 was a decent value. It seems like for some reason he falls every year but ALWAYS end up performing.

Lance Moore at 6.2 was a nice value.

Chris Wells at 6.3 could be a very nice bargain.

Schaub 7.8

Palmer 7.14

Hasselbeck in the 10th.

There were also a number of players that went a round or two (or three) higher than I thought they might go. It's so much more fun doing these when there are no rankings. By the time the NFFC roles around it seems they become very scripted.

I find these early drafts, before any mocks come out, to be some of the best ones to participate in. There are major values to scoop up before other people wise up. That's why I was disappointed I could not get in to defend the title.

Last year in May I was pretty sure here in Chicago that Benson was on his way out and that Forte would be the man. I got him late 6th round. By Labor Day last year that was impossible.

Hasselbeck in the 10th? Are you serious? Perfect example.

Wayne - good list, but as much as I like Q (not you Marc)- there are problems looming with him in Arizona or wherever he does play this year (if he plays). If he continues the fakehammy play to avoid working out with the team he is going to find Whisenhunt a very unsympathetic coach and there are teams he could be traded to where you might not think he was a bargain a round later - he isn't as good a receiver without Warner and Fitzgerald.

ARE YOU SURE ABOUT THAT PERRY? IT SEEMS LIKE BOLDIN'S NUMBERS WERE PRETTY CONSISTIENT BEFORE FITZ'S AND WARNER'S ARRIVAL.

Boldin's only played one season without Fitzgerald and that was his rookie year when he caught 101 passes. I think it's right to be concerned about durability with regard to Boldin but I think he is one of the most talented WRs in the game when healthy. I think he would shine as a WR1 on any team.

ALSO WE MUST ASK OURSELVES HOW GOOD WILL FITZ WITHOUT BOLDIN?

I KNOW MOST WILL SAY HE WILL BE FINE BUT WE SHALL SEE.

Perry,

I will gladly take the risk with Boldin anytime in the third round! :D Unless he goes to the Raiders of course....
