Looking For Feedback On Extended FAAB Period

Post by BillyWaz » Tue Jun 22, 2010 1:03 pm

I suppose I would be OK with moving the FAAB process to Saturday, but I think it is clear that having a "first come first serve" system is definitely out the window.

And Weber, that is from a CLEAR majority of voters. Not just the a** kissers. Trust me when I say that I AM NOT on Greg's "top 50" list.....and I will leave it at that. ;)

- GREG, I WILL TELL YOU THIS. YOU MAKE A LOT OF RULES CHANGES BASED ON THE INPUT FROM A SELECT FEW IN THIS LEAGUE..Dont' take this the wrong way but i see alot of ass kissing with the jules mcclains of the world he billy wazz's and thats fine they earned respect in this league, but there are lots more of us out there which really are the majority... i love the idea, it's a great proposal..

It's spelled McLean, not mcclain.

Loved the ass kissing I got when I questioned the Special Teams scoring! Yep, Greg & TK sure know how to pucker up! ;)
mclean ,mclain, same thing.. lol. i like it when the ass kiss, gets your head real big, which leads to over confidence which leads to failure which leads to more money for me..LOL..

kidding jules.. hope all is well.. Mike W. im upset im not going to be in vegas to go against you this year in auction..

These guys have the technology to put out a survey to every owner. one vote per owner. let the masses make these decisions. i know it's not a democracy however this league is run by a select few in my opinion.. i love the league but sometimes it gets nausiating reading these posts about how good these players are..

Bill, you and i are more alike then you think my good man.. anyway, have a good nite..
I am guessing it would when you aren't one of the players mentioned! As you mentioned earlier...those people have EARNED it. ;)

I'm with you on the survey, but as for us being alike.....

Have a good night as well! :D

I am more concerned with injury information during the season and the way teams bs this stuff, sometimes you get info on Saturday that is more enlightening. That is the basis for my vote for a later FA process. I agree, more information helps everyone including me. I am just saying that a lack of information hurts the average player more than a player that can make better educated guesses with less information.

Your "bad owner, whatever that means?" line cracked me up. I was just trying to label who was who in my example. Most players in the NFFC are good players. If you prefer "very good players" and "great players" ... I could use those labels instead :D

For the record, I don't have a problem with FA on Saturday. It just doesn't matter to me and it seems like Saturday leaves a very short window if there are FA processing problems.

Nice topic. For all the potential pitfalls of how the free agency works now I vote keep it the same. Fridays I think is best. With Thursday games starting in week 10 we are back to pick ups on Thursday. I got burned last year with 4 picks not getting accepted. Lesson learned was try to make my pick 2 weeks ahead if possible. Not always possible I understand, but it is so thin at some positions to begin with I feel the free for all will create an unfair advantage for some. If for some reason we would go with multiple days make it very cost prohibitive, at least $100, if not more.
By the way, how many posts do I need to attain ass kicker status, wait a minute.......ass......oh, never mind.
in terms of earning it, i never claim to be the king of normal drafting.. i think now after a few years i can draft with anyone. as for auction, i've proven myself time and time again, i have 2 leauge championships and a 2nd place finish at wcoff in 3 years over there.. had bad year last year.

here, after getting used to 14 team format i won my league last year in auction as well. i was ranked no. 1 last year overall auction at wcoff.

there was not the chance to win big money for me in auctions over past 4 years.. now it's getting better so in terms of earning it.. i can play with the best of them ..
I have no doubt you will be able to compete in auction Michael, but comparing the 12 team WCOFF auctions to the 14 team NFFC auctions is apples and oranges.

Are the rankings over at WCOFF based on something other than the first couple years and getting a "rep"? Seriously, I have no clue how they rank people over there, but I know if you spend a lot of $$$ over there, you get recognized a whole lot more.
