first week matchups

My opponent has got two of his studs - Edgerrin James and Reggie Wayne - going against the Ravens defense at Baltimore. He has Chris Brown at the Steelers. He also has Mewedle (Ah-weem-awelde, Ah-weem-awedle) Moore, who will probably be the eventual starter but not for week 1. Man, I am happy to be playing him now instead of later! Anyone else got some matchup problems or fortunes for this week?

well, i did the BYE WEEK analysis, and I only miss out on 2 notable players all year -

Delhomme and Edge. The scheduling gods definitely didn't work out for me this year.

My opponent this week has Randy Moss against New England. Good for me. My quarterback is Kerry Collins. Bad for me. Chances are Collins throws one touchdown pass...to Randy Moss :( Always a tough combo when your opponent has your quarterback's undisputed main target.

Hopefully, I can repay the favor as my opponent is starting Hasselbeck and I am starting Darrell Jackson.

I would hope that to be the case, but if I really believed that, I wouldn't be keeping Curry on the bench.

I have an opponent with Gates on "holiday" this week in the Ultimate League. I guess that's as good as it gets for week one as I'm sure he used his 3rd round pick to get Gates. I guess I should feel lucky.

I like my match-up quite well as this is what I will be probably be facing:
Hasselbeck against JAC - bad for him
J. Lewis against IND - ok for him
Portis against CHI - bad for him
Burleson against TB - bad for him
Fitzgerald against NYG - ok for him
S. Smith against NO - ok for him
Curry against NE - bad for him
Cooley against CHI - bad for him
J. Brown against JAC - good for him
Bears D against WAS - good for him

My probable lineup:
Warner against NYG - ok for me
J. Jones against SD - good for me
Dillon against OAK - good for me
Horn against CAR - good for me
Driver against DET - GREAT for me
A. Bryant against CIN - GREAT for me
Givens against OAK - good for me
Shockey against ARI - good for me
Elam against MIA - GREAT for me
Washington D against CHI - good for me

Week 1 is looking up!!!

2006 CHI#2 3rd Place
2006 Auction Reg Season Champ
2007 TAM#2 2nd Place
2007 Auction Reg Season Champ

Are you being a little biased with those comments?

#1. Kurt Warner will get KOd before half. Hasselbeck will put up better numbers.

#2. A Bryant vs CIN is great? But Steve Smith vs NO is "OK for him"? Same deal with Jones vs SD and Lewis vs IND. And Givens vs OAK and Burelson vs TB. You give yourself the edge in those matchups? I'd wager that your opponent will win all of them.

Good luck anyway but
