Owners Preparing To Go Forward With 18-Game Regular Season

I see it affecting the fantasy landscape by making sure RBBC is here to stay.

Even a Chris Johnson would come out in an 18 game season.

No reason to risk injury even during the season.

As a season ticket holder, I welcome 2 more "real" games. Nothing like paying $179 per seat to watch Manny Noname running the ball in the 2nd quarter.

I'm with you on that one, JR, and am disappointed in a player like Ray Lewis whining about having to actually play for 2 more of his checks. That's why if I'm the NFLPA, I agree to this one with the stipulation it will be a 20-week season with 2 bye weeks. More money from television for an extra 2 weeks of football for both sides to spread around. Extra FF team management nightmare to weed out the good from the lucky.

I would not increase roster size, FAAB money or league size.

Increasing FAAB is artificial. More weeks will require better rationing but the dollar value is irrelevant.

Increasing league size would make for a very shallow, difficult league in which injuries would hurt even more.

Increasing roster size would make the FAAB pool shallower, making it harder to replace injured players, not easier. The only consideration here should be an IR spot where an owner could keep an injured player without using a bench spot, but I'm not sure that's necessary.

If the season lengthens all games should count for fantasy except the final week. The number of all-play weeks should be extended as necessary rather than have an unbalanced or shortened fantasy season schedule.

As KJ pointed out, whether you keep it at $1000 FAAB, or $100,000, you will have to ration over the course of the season. I'd say keep it at $1000. It's the same for everyone.

If there wasn't a second bye week, I'd say to keep the length of the fantasy football season the same as it is. It should decrease the chance of your star play sitting when it really counts in fantasy. I think this would really help fantasy playoffs.

More games, more injuries. I'd say add 1 to the roster sizes.

I agree with KJ on increasing roster size only with an INJURY spot. The official NFL injury report comes out early enough each week to accommodate this.

I would agree to keep the playoffs through the next to last week of the season, but see what happens, and then make a decision the following year.

If far too many teams are resting players for 2 weeks, then ending 2 weeks before the season would have to be considered.

After the Indianapolis Dolts fiasco of not going for a perfect season AND falling short, we may not see too many teams go after that anymore.

I just hope for season tix holders across the country that this leads to a better value for the $$$!

I love being there for the Colts live, but between 2 joke pre-season games and a seemingly worthless last home game every year, it is hardly worth it. I still pay, however.
