As everyone knows, I'm indebted to the original NFFC members who gave me access to their credit cards when the NFFC was nothing more than a pipedream. Their loyalty to the high-stakes fantasy football concept and trust in us here allowed the NFFC to go forward as planned in 2004 and to lose a good chunk of money!!

Without those original 224 teams, we wouldn't be here today.

This year is our fifth year of the NFFC and we will honor our original members who have been with us all five years by providing a special NFFC hat for them. We'll hand them out on Draft Day and let those folks stand out from the crowd. You can even have your team name inscripted on the side of the hat, free of charge. Just e-mail me at [email protected] what you want inscripted and I'll provide that for you. Thanks everyone.

If you want additional hats, the cost is $20 per hat. I'll spring for the first one and if you want more just let me know and we'll add it to your bill at the end of the year.

I haven't picked out a color for the hats yet and will gladly take suggestions on this thread. We used black for the NFBC with gold lettering and had the NFBC logo on the front with CHARTER MEMBER inscribed below and a nice NFBC logo on the back with 2004-2008 stitched below that. We'll do a similar format for our NFFC members. Rick Gromek of The Maine Thread is doing this for us and he may have images of the NFBC hats at www.themainethread.com.

I'll keep an updated list of our returning 5-year members as they sign up, so all can see who was there first and who is coming back for NFFC V. If I somehow missed your name, just post here and I'll add you to the list. Thanks all.

My good buddy Glenn Schroter -- King of Queens -- is back in a big way for a fifth season of competition, but more importantly he's returning as a first-time member of our Las Vegas fraternity!!

Glenn has done nine straight NFBC and NFFC main events in New York, but the Fisher Party is luring him to Sin City this year!!

We're glad to have Glenn with us in Las Vegas as he will compete in both $1,300 NFFC events in Las Vegas, and the ultimate doubleheader on Saturday with the NFFC and NBC Sports main events. Man, this is going to be some fun this season!!! Welcome to my twice-annual home, homey!!!
