Post by Greg Ambrosius » Mon Jul 28, 2008 4:41 am

We now have 84 members from our Class of 2004 back in 2008 as Robert Liewald of King of Prussia, New York will be joining us at the New York Sheraton Hotel & Towers for a fifth straight season of competition. Robert has drafted out of New York each of the last four seasons and will be returning to the Big Apple again this year for both NFFC main events and the NFFC Auction League. Welcome back Robert and good luck in the NFFC Trifecta this year. :D

ETA: you've still got Fisher down as "Smithtown, NJ" -- I used to live in Smithtown, and can assure you that it's in New York.

Gary Winner of Buffalo Grove, Illinois was a Charter Member of the NFFC in 2004 and he continued with us for a few years after that, but last year business got in the way of Draft Day. Fortunately, he's back this year in Chicago and he definitely deserves a Charter Member hat!! :D We now have 85 teams back from 2004, which is a great group to have back. Thanks Gary and good luck in 2008.

He's concentrating on winning again in baseball right now, but it's good to see that David Longood of Salem, Oregon has taken the time to join us for a fifth straight season of football action. David is going to the Windy City this year for both halves of the main event doubleheader as he becomes NFFC Charter Member No. 87 to return. Thanks David and best of luck this year.

Mike Ward led TEAM NEW to the total points title in our debut NFFC season of 2004 and we're glad to have him back for a fifth straight season of competition. That brings us to 88 Charter Members back in 2008!!! Awesome and welcome back for the NFFC doubleheader in Orlando Mike.

This is amazing as we're closing in on 100 of our original 224 owners coming back for the fifth season of the NFFC. My good buddy Jack Lyons of Phoenix, Arizona is coming back for another season of the NFFC as he's committed to the NFFC Classic Main event at the Flamingo in Las Vegas on Saturday, Aug. 30th. Jack and I are going to drink Corona's all Thursday and Friday and then I'll push him to his draft spot on Saturday. :D Thanks Jack and I'll see ya at the Flamingo.

I knew when I offered the free stuff I'd hear from some of my wise, old NFFC veterans!! :D Pete Lukowicz of Manalapan, New Jersey just couldn't resist the NBC Sports polo shirt and grabbed a spot in the NBC Sports NFFC Primetime main event in Las Vegas. The good news is that Pete will already be out in Las Vegas that weekend for a special occasion and the Flamingo is where they stayed during their first getaway together many moons ago. The setting seemed perfect and we're glad to have him back as our 93rd NFFC Charter Member from 2004 returning in 2008. Thanks Pete and good luck.
