Week 11 WDIS?

Post by Sandman62 » Thu Nov 19, 2009 1:49 pm

RB to go w/ Snelling from: Bradshaw, Ahman Green, Parker, Moore or... LJ?

Bradshaw practiced on a Thurs. for the first time in a few weeks and has a nice matchup vs. ATL's 26th ranked run D. But he'd already started losing reps to Jacobs before their bye, and now he's slated to lose 3rd down reps to Danny Ware.

Green proclaimed himself finally in football shape today. BFD? He's likely to keep getting 3-5 pts/gm and maybe a lucky TD or two before season's end.

Parker/Moore are useless unless Mendenhall decides to join all the other injured RBs this week.

LJ has been getting first team practice reps this week and it's unlikely Benson will play. Scott and Leonard are already used to being 3rd down backs and LJ's used to starting. He's also had great success against OAK. I think Coach Lewis is being coy and intends to use him heavily - especially at the goal line.

Thoughts appreciated.

Even w/ Ware expected to take over nearly all of the 3rd down duties? How much will be left for Bradshaw?

How about this one? Who to flex in Primetime?
1. Bush @TB (31st), but he has swelling in knee and hasn't practiced the past 2 days.
2. Moreno vs. SD (23rd), but if Simms starts at QB, will SD just stuff the box?
3. Harvin vs. SEA (24th) - not getting a lot of targets, but explosive.

Ya know, if it weren't for Simms, I'd be all over Moreno this week, w/ Buckhalter's injury:

"Broncos RBs Correll Buckhalter (knee) and LaMont Jordan (back) missed practice Thursday.

Buckhalter was limited Wednesday, so this is a downgrade for him. The severity of his knee injury is unknown, but he'll likely have to return to practice Friday in order to have a significant role against the Chargers this week. Knowshon Moreno is a high-end RB2 if Buckhalter is held out."

Will he still produce despite Simms at the helm, just due to the sheer VOLUME of reps he'll get?

Hmmmm...
