Bye Week Thoughts

Every league has a team that seems to skate through the season by playing other teams who have their studs on a bye. How about if...

Teams may start a player on a bye week and receive 2/3 of that player's average points

That would eliminate a lot of the scheduling luck as well as relieve the numbers problem for RBs.

Teams may, of course, replace their bye week player instead of starting him and getting the 2/3 avg. score.

How would you handle the kicker that scored 6 FG in week 1, 3 FG in week 2 and is carrying a 20 pt. average into his bye week in week 3? Or the defense that had 3 punts returned for TD in the first 3 weeks, plus 12 turnovers and carries a high "fluke" average into their bye in week 4?

With a smile. All part of the game.

That's much less likely than one team missing Holmes and LT and Manning and Culppepper and skating to a 10-3 record with the 4th best points.
