So how did everyone do?
Here is how my draft went in League 2 NY.
QB - Manning , McCown , Fiedler
RB - McCallister, Bennett, George, Bettis, Thomas
WR - KRobinson, Fitzgerald, Kennison, MRobinson, Troy Brown, RWoods
TE - Shockey , Pollard
K- Kasay
D- StLouis
First time drafting in high stakes game. I really need Bennett to come back healthy in Week 5 and play well. I took a chance with some Wrs . We'll see how it goes. I could have picked Chad Johnson, Mason , KJones, Staley, TJones in the 2nd round but I opted for Manning. Maybe Chad would have been the wiser choice. Oh well!!

Snake, as I told many people in Vegas, Donovan McNabb sucks. Like Aaron Brooks, who I've had to put up with down here in New Orleans, he can't read "Mary Had a Little Lamb", netherlone a defense. You could give him Harrison and Moss and he'd still find a way to lose. At least he's a leader whereas Brooks couldn't lead a horse to water if he was standing in the middle of the lake. Fact is, don't expect monster points from him as what you've seen in pre-season won't happen in regular season when defense coordinators scheme to shut T.O. down. The great thing is he's running out of excuses.
Otherwise, snake, not a bad team for the #1 pick.

By the way, snake, hope you haven't floated away yet as Florida is really getting its undo share of hurricanes this year. I remember Greg telling me you were one of the guys who had to draft by phone. Did you and if so, how was it?

NY 4 Pick 8
Barring injuries Can actually say my team on proverbial paper looks to be solid
QB Brooks/Bruenell
RB James/Westbrook/Staley/Hambrick/L Johnson/Blalock in case Priest goes down
WR Moulds/McCarins/Burleson/A Davis/R Ferguson/B Stokely
TE Winslow him and Moulds are keys to my season/E Johnson
Seattle Dee
Carney
Not too worried about backup kicker or Defense yet
1st time in a while I left a draft happy with team as opposed to pissed off

i am not sure what i am more shocked about...
--byron chamberlain being cut by the broncos after being touted as a great sleeper and having a great camp, being in great shape, playing in an offense that loves to throw to the tight ends...
--or that i was forced to change strategy when i took peyton manning with the 1st pick of the THIRD round...
have we decided which is more valuable as a flex player?
-a 25thish ranked starting RB (garner, dunn, staley)
or
-a 25th ranked WR (andre davis, d. branch, i. bruce)

Someone mentioned in another post but I think you have to go with WR being more valuable in your Flex spot because of draft position.
In order to get a Garner/Dunn/Staley you would have had to spend a 3rd round pick on them (assuming you took 2 RBs in the first two rounds). Is that 3rd round pick worth getting a marginal running back when you can also fill that flex spot perfectly well with a WR that you take in rounds 7-9?
I think the good old 'opportunity cost' of trying to get a Staley/Dunn/Garner in the 3rd round is low enough that I would rather wait and fill my flex spot with a WR and use that #3 pick on a top-notch WR to get my receiver corps started (or on a good QB).
