Let me echo these sentiments and thank you, Tom, for a job well done. One of my favorite moments of Saturday was seeing you walk around the room after the main event had started...with a beer in your hand. I knew that you were finally able to take a deep breath -- and a big gulp :D -- after all the nuttiness of 1pm. Again, great job in making everything run so smoothly.

Wow..that idea should go down as one of the best concepts ever...right after the invention of the "spork".

If I remember correctly, they all had little numbers on the back of them. Everyone wanted a spork with the number "44" on it -- the Reggie Jackson spork.

Also don't forget about the spork's cousin, the foon. For more information, please check out the following link:

Tom,

This is my 4th draft with the NFFC (if you count the Champions/magazine league) and each year it gets a little better. It was well organized and ran pretty close to on time. There were good contingency plans in place for the inevitable circumstances where an owner can't get to the draft. I liked the 4 way clocks. The guys we had facilitating our draft were great and a couple guys I brought to help out facilitated other leagues said their drafts went well.

I agree with the point made by someone else that it is kind of frustrating when a player you are hoping will fall to you gets shouted out nearby and suddenly gets picks in your own league. There were several times we had an owner who was clearly struggling with a decision as the clock was ticking down and we would hear "Nate Burleson" at the next table and 4 seconds later the struggling owner picked him. Not sure what could ever be done about this, but just an observation.

Should be a great season and the efforts by the NFFC staff are appreciate by this owner... that is for sure... now please tell me D. Rhodes or J. Jones will establish himself as a producer!
