Thursday Chat Has Begun

Okay, you guys have fun with this thread and we'll see ya all tomorrow. Time to get out of this office and see what my kids look like. Can't remember anymore.

And for you guys on the fence, come on in. The football talk will continue all year long and you'll get hands-on service from me and Tom anytime you need it. E-mail us or call us and we'll secure a spot in one of our three drafts for you in one of our three cities. The multi-city concept is the way to go. Goodnight.

I've been offered the opportunity to play in 5 other fantasy leagues but have turned all but one of them down to concentrate on the two in Vegas and the Gekko Invitational. The other league drafts the Sunday before the Vegas draft. I've had years I've played in as many as 10, but have toned down since the birth of my daughter 7 years ago. She's a daddy's girl and takes up a lot of my time and money when I'm home. I have to admit if I were single, I'd be like BillyWaz playing in every league available.

Greg -- I'm a doofus! I thought the consolation prizes were per league!
Hello. My name is Lee Scoresby. I come from Texas, like flying hot-air balloons, being eaten by talking polar bears and fantasy football.

We plan on giving back a good percentage of the money in prizes, but we're not that generous, Ico!!!

I'd be like BillyWaz playing in every league available. [/QB]Actually I am not single (as I just got married this summer) and also have a daughter (she will be 7 in December), but I am a teacher/athletic director who gets my summer off. This helps as we do A LOT together, and I enjoy all the extra time I get to spend with my family.

That being said, not having to go to work from mid June till late August enables me to stay up late and do my research for the upcoming season. As everyone knows, once the team is rafted, it pretty much takes care of itself (minus trades and a few key pickups) ;)

Rick, how many fantasy leagues are you in? I know we have some serious players here and guys like Dyv, who is in 32 fantasy baseball leagues, are downright crazy. But I'd love to see how many leagues some of you guys are competing in this year.

I'm in seven fantasy baseball leagues this year, which was manageable until we started doing fantasy football magazines. But now I've lost touch with my baseball teams and I regret it. I think I've already done seven football drafts, which I know means trouble for me in September. But it's manageable.

Anyone else doing more this year? I'm doing 15 this season, and it will be the most ever (13 was my previous);

7 established keeper leagues (6 use IDP's)
1 new keepr league
3 redraft leagues
2 NFFC teams (big one + auction)
2 USA Today challenges
& a partridge in a pear tree! :D

Luckily I have my summers off and the most understanding and wonderful wife in the world! :D

Should be a GREAT year!

I knew you were married, Waz, but my wife isn't as understanding as yours. Mine hates football. I'd have to be single again to play in 15 leagues. I would say her thought of a new BMW is the only reason I'm going to Vegas, but I do put my foot down when I have to and to play in NFFC would be one of those times.
