Great job, Billy. They left out the 35 you got from the Philly D. I'm saving mine for Week 14 when the Ravens play Detroit. See ya Thursday.

Billy Wasosky Is Week 1 NFFC Classic Winner
High scoring weeks are nothing new for Billy Wasosky in the NFFC Classic. After all, he is the event’s all-time leader in weekly scoring average.
So perhaps it wasn’t a surprise that when the dust settled after the first week of the NFL season, Wasosky stood alone as the No. 1 scoring team in the event.
What may have been a surprise was how he got there.
It’s safe to say Wasosky had little idea that Drew Brees was going to deliver a Week 1 performance for the ages. Or that the Eagles’ defense and special teams would go crazy against the Panthers.
But when the Saints’ star quarterback shredded the Lions for six touchdowns and the Eagles scored two defensive/special teams touchdowns, that proved to be more than enough to help Wasosky’s Whatever It Takes BWAZZ team in Chicago League 3 top the Classic field last week with 186.90 points.
Randy Moss (26.1), Willis McGahee (21.5) and Hines Ward (17.3) also had big weeks.
“I was obviously thrilled with the 52 points from Brees and the 35 from Philly’s D,” the 39-year-old Wasosky said. “While I obviously didn’t expect monster weeks like that from either all year, it is great to bank all those points because you never know when you can go through a drought.”
Brees’ first-week eruption may have been unscripted but Wasosky made it a point to land him on Draft Day.
“My draft strategy this year was to get a stud wide receiver in the first round and a stud quarterback in the second,” he said. “I was very happy Brees fell. Basically, I wanted three solid wide receivers and a stud quarterback but getting Dallas Clark in the fifth round was a surprise I didn’t expect.”
Unlike many owners, Wasosky was prepared for things to be a bit shaky at the running back position due to his strategy. But thus far, his approach to wait on the position hasn’t hurt him as he landed Willis McGahee and Cadillac Williams (both of whom had strong Week 1 performances) later in the draft.
“I was OK waiting on my running back,” he said. “I like Chester Taylor and Willis McGahee and Cadillac Williams looks very good as well. And I plan to be very proactive on the Waiver Wire.
“If Brees plays like I think he can and my wide receivers and Dallas Clark play well and I get just a bit of production from my running backs I will be just fine. It’s definitely a different strategy from year’s past and I guess we will see if it pays off.”
Wasosky is married with a daughter, stepdaughter and stepson and lives in Richmond, VA. He is a special education teacher and athletic director.
