Just wondering if that's a temporary or permanent thing. We will bring everyone to this Message Board community and will add links from the NBC Sports FFC home page directly to the signup list and to the Who Is Coming To The NBC Sports FFC And Where? links. We will begin to populate the NBC Sports General Discussion thread soon.

It makes no sense to send folks to two separate message boards. As we grow both events, we hope this will be one of the more vibrant message boards in the live events area.

One combined message board makes more sense now. We also have decided NOT to go forward with an Online Championship. We will begin with an NBC Sports Fantasy Baseball Online Championship in 2009 and then eventually unveil an online football championship in 2009 as well. That's the new plan.

[/QUOTE]Single MB is clearly the right thing to do... even for next year. You want to make the "community" as large as possible, not fragment it.

If you haven't been to Rotoworld.com in the last day or so, please do and see the promotions they are running for our two live drafts. On the front page of Rotoworld.com, we have a nice ad on the right-hand rail that is there for the next 6+ weeks. The amount of impressions that ad will receive is more than anything we've done combined in the first five seasons.

If you click on the player news pages, you'll see that ad everywhere and we have both games listed in their games section and another big ad at the bottom of the player news pages. All ads are promoting Two Chances To Win $100,000 and directing them to our splash page. From there they can go to either football site or even check out our baseball site. Again, we are still updating the splash page and the NBC Sports site to direct them even more to the Message Board signup links and Registration areas to show them everything we have going here.

Everything is still a work in process, but the ads are appearing now and we'll get some first-hand endorsements from the Rotoworld writers soon and begin with more columns and blogs there very soon. We will unveil our Content Panel Top 25 rankings on there soon as well, so look for an invitation e-mail from me if you were an NFFC Content Panel member last year. These rankings are going to be fun and I trust they will be a hot area for Rotoworld readers, too.

One more note on the Rotoworld.com ads and the NBC Sports Fantasy Football Championship: As I've said many times our goal is to grow this space and introduce our live events and online games to a new audience of potential players. Rotoworld.com and Allstar Stats has some of the most intense fantasy players in the country and I believe MANY of these players may have never heard about the NFFC or NFBC before. They have millions of unique users on the site and converting "some" of these to our games is certainly a good possibility.

We are trying to grow the space and add to this area of the market, not steal customers from other games. It's interesting to watch some of the posts on other message boards and see the "predictions" of failure for our venture because they don't want their favorite contest to be affected, but in reality we are all growing this space if our product is unique enough. Nobody else was doing a 12-team contest on Labor Day weekend or working with a major media partner, so we filled that void. Shouldn't that be good for everyone?

As I said above, we are still a work in progress because our partnership didn't finalize until late April. But F+W/NBC/Rotoworld will be aggressive in this space and do all we can to make Labor Day weekend the ultimate fantasy football weekend. It's my job to now make this work and we will be successful. And that's good for everyone.

The NBC site is sharp... I like the layout and colors. Very easy to read. Sometimes sites can turn newcomers off when they are super busy or not user friendly. This is good.

Greg,

I'm curious why the address to get to that site is ****://nfc.nbc.....?

Also, is that site linked from somewhere on the main NBC site?

Russ, he's giving us a look into where this year's Superbowl champs will come from, again. Can the NFC be stopped? New England who?
