2007 Changes in the books

One small comment/question regarding the playoffs.

Will there be the same sort of playoff for third? I believe that after the top two then the next two in line should be playing for the 3rd position.

Thoughts?

Thoughts? not a bad suggestion. it keeps more teams involved. may be tough trying to explain all the different league playoff/payout scenarios...

#1 $2,500 to team with best H2H Record

#2 $2,500 to team with most points (can be same team as #1)

#3 if team #1 and team #2 are different teams, a three-week playoff between team #1 and team #2 for additional $2,500. if team #1 and team #2 are the same team, then the remaining team with the most points automatically earns $2,500

#4 remaining team with the best record and remaining team with the most points in a three-week playoff for $1,000. if the same team has the best record and most points, they automatically earn the $1,000

I did not know Gekko came up with the playoff format (in 2004) that we are going to use. That combined with BBDS are pretty impressive ideas. Have to give props to someone with those kind of good innovative ideas.

Greg, I took a very quick glance at the rules.... I saw a "2005", when it should have been a "2007". Those are always easy to not see when you've proof read them 47 times.

Exciting stuff and great changes !! Will
the 3-week playoff be best of 3 on w/l or
total points for the 3 weeks? Like Turbough
idea for 3rd place $$ too.

3RR has gone thru the ringer here on the boards
and has a solid concensus now. I'm on board!

Greg- I, for one, applaud the choice of Tampa.
To anyone who thinks this is a boring city,
I'd suggest you are looking in the wrong places.
Will I be the first to participate in three
different NFFC cities (CHI- '04/'05 , LV '06 ,
TSP '07)???
Thanks, Bill/// HHHHHHHHHHMAN83

[/QUOTE]Sorry my friend, I will take the credit for this one. Do a search for "Week 12 Statistics" under General NFFC Discussion and read the first post. I also summarize this idea in the thread "Best H2H Format for 2005" thread, Page 2, Posts 6 and 7.
