Congratulations To Jules McLean For Finishing 1st In The Regular Season
We'd like to send out our congraluations to Jules McLean as her Pimpin Trigger Jr. team in Las Vegas 2 finished first in the overall standings after the regular season with 2,126.05 points.
For finishing first after 13 weeks, we're pleased to announce that Jules has won a free entry for the 2007 NFFC.
The race for the $100,000 has now begun and don't forget if you were not one of the teams to advance to the championship round your season has not come to an end. We offer a consolation round as well which offers a $2,500 prize for the consolation champion.
So good luck to all 322 of our NFFC teams because everyone still has a lot to play for in these final three weeks. Let the playoffs begin.

I can't believe in 3 short weeks the FF season will be over. The saddest time of the year.

Awesome season, Jules. Great job.
Now that the playoffs are here, will you let the rest of us play too?

It seems like yesterday that we were researching players and making our lists and getting pumped up for draft day.
I also want to applaud Jules for having one of the most dominant fantasy football seasons of all time. We all go into these drafts hoping for the following.
-Big production from our first round pick.
She hit the biggest homerun maybe ever with Tomlinson.
-Finding a QB that comes up with the goods.
She hit on the highest scoring QB in the league pre-injury with Mcnabb.
-Finding a productive strong WR 1 and maybe identify some mid to late round WR production.
She hit on Wayne, has got to be thrilled with Cotchery and an absolute home run with Colston.
-Grab a defense somewhere that gives you a little something.
She happens to hit on the Tomlinson of defensive seasons with the Bears.
It will likely be a very long time (if ever) we see a team like this in an event like the NFFC...

Congrats Jules! Great Run and you are staying in Vegas next year aren't you? You would hate Chicago that time of the year.

gekko,
agreed about the playoffs still being the final hurdle for her season. But I was talking about the "team" she put together regardless of post season results. Winning the playoff sprint has a good bit to do with luck and having an unexpected player or two that others don't have who busts out. I give a lot of respect for people who put amazing teams together even on paper. teams that through bad fortune or injury never produce but when you look at the projections for the players they picked, they put together a strong deep team. I respect that.
But I am not sure we will ever see an overall team like the one she put together this year. She hit on just about everything. I forgot to mention Kevin Jones and Ben Watson.

You said winning the 100K has a good bit to do with luck. This is why I believe teams should carry more than 1X their weekly scoring avg into the playoffs
