$175 Super-Two DC Auction

Post by pjb269 » Sat May 31, 2008 1:38 am

Do you set your line ups each week? Or do you just get the best scorer at each position that is on your roster?
Is this an auction. If so how does it get over in less than 4 hours? I want to play.Just have to go to work around 10:30.Is there a way to pre pick at the end if I run out of time?

Sorry for all the ?? but this DC is new to me.I'm very interested.

Sorry for all the ?? but this DC is new to me.I'm very interested. The DC means there are no roster or lineup moves after the draft. With it being an auction, someone would have to be there, I'm guessing, to bid on the players you want. No way to "auto-select" players that I'm aware of.

Maybe the draft time could be adjusted. This draft will more than likely take 5 hours IMO.
2008- Didn't finish last overall in the Classic.
2009- Didn't finish last overall in the Classic or Primetime.

parnelli,

1-I would say no less than 5 hours. If it goes less, than we had a great draft. But I'm putting aside 5 hours to do this, in case anyone freezes up, or people just take their time, which is their perogative. 26 rounds is long to begin with, so with an auction, it could be a long draft.

2-If you had to leave the draft, I'm pretty sure that the site would award you with the best players still available on their pre-ranked lists, one by one, but I can't say that for 100%...Also if you left, it would make everyone else wait for your team to "time out" every time your "un-manned" squad was up...I think it would turn it into a 6 hour draft. So please try and make sure you have a solid 5 hours to draft.

Thanks.

Marc

5 hours is a good estimate, but you can set the order for your nomination list - and the last 4-5 rounds should be draft-like since most or all teams will be down to a $1 max bid.

Thanks.

Marc Being an auction Marc, I am not sure this would be the case.

I could see a lot of Shaun Alexander and Michael Vick picks for $1.
I think last year we knocked the 2nd DC auction out in about 4:15. However, we had VERY few problems that evening.

The first lasted I believe 5 1/2, so it all depends on if there are "technical difficulties" or not.

Being a teacher and being "off", I am not concerned, but I know others have time limitations and have to go to work the next morning.
I wouldn't count that out. In fact, there's no way I'd leave my team on auto-draft in any type of auction draft. Frisman Jackson/Barry Sanders/Corey Dillon...lol...You'll end up with all of them.
