LIVE SCORING....PLAYOFFS!

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Sat Dec 11, 2010 7:11 am

Glenn, I'm convinced that when people have trouble with Fanball the first thing they do is call you. So thanks for the update. I'll remember to call you again when I need to feel the pulse of the NFFC nation.

Listen, I've been in Championship Rounds before and I know the thrill of seeing real-time standings. I wish we had it before and I wish we had it this regular season. But everyone predicted failure for our regular season software and it didn't happen because we used a tested commissioner product right from the start. We didn't build the NFFC out separately. Going forward we'll have to address that if we're going to be like the rest with real-time standings.

Everyone should be able to see the starting lineups. I'm asking for help to figure out why some can and some can't. I hope that's not the case before tomorrow's games.

greg , its 2pm and your going to ask now ? you guys knew about this thurs night. its most of us that cant get live scoring. the standings we can live without but live scorings , cmon man. i feel bad that you have to put up with this when it should be " the man in charge " standing up. Frank, you think I just asked now??? C'mon man. You sound like Snake. No, we can't do this for the same reasons we couldn't have real-time standings during the regular season. It involves the reasoning that we had to use the existing commissioner product for football to make sure everything ran smoothly this first year and going forward we'll hopefully have the time to build this real-time data out. But we can't do it now.

I'm responding because you asked. Not because this is new today.
i sound like snake. am i the only one upset. that was out of line. whatever the reason is it is lame and not good for biz.

You can be upset with us again Frank. That's fine. But I'm not sitting here on a Saturday just trying to solve this problem. Not having Live Scoring isn't good for business. No doubt. Good luck this weekend.

I pride myself on not complaining....but this needs to be fixed now. but I don't like the fact that we can't see everyone's starting lineup - too much manipulation to the lineups can change after the games begin (aka changing starters for sitters who outscore them)...plus the 8 people in line to receive a bonus competing in BOTH Main playoffs (one is myself fortunately) stand to make an extra 75K that Fanball can make a nice little savings on if they don't have to pay it out!
Glenn,

Are you implying that Fanball would PURPOSELY change lineups so that they could possibly save 75K to pay out???

I know you will deny it, but it sure sounds that way.

Not having some of the features (putting 2 lineups in, no live scoring, etc.) that the NFFC has had in the past is very concerning.

Hope it gets done soon! :D

Yep ... live scoring is a bit of a downer but ....

Then you look at the whole NFFC package. Great live event, good payouts for live events, 3RR and KDS for draft spots, 14 team leagues, responsive league managers (Greg and Tom), and good player scoring balance between positions, 3RR and KDS for draft spots (it's worth repeating). It's really easy for me personally to look past the live scoring feature this year.

I'll take better game features over live finals scoring any day of the week. I might be good to have access to others teams rosters at some point, but live scoring is just fluff ... nice fluff ... but just fluff IMO.
