NFFC Offers Discount Plan To Unpaid Owners From Other Events

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Fri Jun 10, 2011 4:52 am

The National Fantasy Football Championship has paid out more than $4 million since its inception in 2004 and will award more than $1 million in prizes again in 2011. The top players in the industry work long and hard for that prize money and the NFFC is more than happy to reward them with timely payments each season.

Unfortunately, since 2004 there have been other contests that haven't paid their prize winners in full and it's hurt every game operator in this industry. It's time that someone takes care of the customers and ensures that their hard work will be rewarded in full. The NFFC and STATS LLC is ready to do just that right now.

Starting immediately, the NFFC will provide a 15% discount on any new NFFC product in 2011 to any fantasy player who didn't get paid by a fantasy game provider in 2010. For any fantasy football player who won prize money, didn't get paid and would like to join the NFFC for the first time, the 15% discount applies to every NFFC live event. While we can't get you back the prize money you failed to receive from other industry companies last year, we can lessen the burden of competing in a new contest that guarantees all of its prize money in 2011. That's the NFFC.

And for any NFFC owner who also failed to get paid in 2011, the 15% discount applies to any additional NFFC league beyond what you played with the NFFC last year for this upcoming season. We don't want to forget our loyal customers who happened to also play in a second contest last year that failed to pay them. That loss is our loss as well and affects their decision-making in 2011, so if we can help lessen that burden we will. This plan is good for all of those owners and worth the investment by us for the good of the industry.

The NFFC and NFBC combined has paid more than $8 million in prizes since 2004, paying on time every time. Everyone involved with the NFFC and NFBC is concerned about the lack of prize payments recently by other companies in the high-stakes fantasy sports space. It has the potential to erode trust in those people who run those games and create a reason for these valued customers to leave this area of the industry. We don't want that to happen and we are willing to find a way to bring those people to the most trusted game in the industry, backed by one of the most trusted companies in the industry, STATS LLC.

To take advantage of this special offer, participants should contact Greg Ambrosius at [email protected] or at 715-254-5553; or Tom Kessenich at [email protected] or 715-254-5559. Provide them with information about non-payments from 2010 and they will get you set up into any of our live events in 2011. The NFFC now offers two separate $100,000 grand prizes this year: The 14-team NFFC Classic, which is in its eighth year of competition, and the 12-team NFFC Primetime. Both have $1,400 entry fees and the discounts would knock off $210 from those prices. Take advantage of the special offer if you're looking for a new home that provides a very competitive game format, first class customer service, fun-filled live drafts and guaranteed, timely payments at season's end. The NFFC should be your new home going forward if you want all of that.

Live drafts for the NFFC Classic and Primetime will be held in Las Vegas, New York, Chicago and Online Sept. 2-4; and again for the Primetime only in Las Vegas and Online Sept. 9-10. The Las Vegas live event will be held at the Bellagio for the second straight year. Go to nffc.stats.com for more details. Live events include the Main Events, but also include the industry's only Auction Championship, the industry's only Draft Champions Championship, along with live NFFC Super, Ultimate and Diamond Leagues. There's something there for everyone.

We're sorry if even one person didn't get paid in full in 2010. But give us a chance to help you out in 2011 and hopefully it will be the beginning of a new relationship with the NFFC that was better than anything you ever experienced before. See ya on Draft Day.

One of our biggest concerns right now for our company and for the entire live events business is that if these winnings get taken out of our industry in 2011 it could force good players to leave this space forever and not return. This could force them to quit HSFF for good, especially if they were previously burned by AFFL.com or Fantasy Jungle.com or FFOC or Rapid Draft or SportsBuff. We can't afford to have all of these people just leave the industry because they no longer can trust any game operator. We've proven that it's not very hard to take in entry fees, run a first class contest/live event, and pay out prizes on time. We want those people to join the NFFC and NFBC and realize that from here on out you're never going to have to worry about prize payouts again.

Take advantage of the offer if you can. We can still make football a great, great season once the labor agreement is reached, with a live 12-team draft that same weekend in Las Vegas with a guaranteed $100,000 grand prize. This is a HUGE setback for our industry if nothing gets resolved from here, but it also could be a new beginning for some of you.

Hey, we're trying to KEEP all of these players who were hurt by bad business practices from leaving the industry for good. If this brings back some good faith in our industry to any of these players then it was good for all of us. And this isn't the first time we've done this.

In 2008, Jared Danielsen and his buddies won money from the AFFL.com and didn't get paid in full. His story was told nationally about how he was going to fight for his winnings. We felt terrible about his situation and got him involved in the NFFC Classic and NFFC Primetime in 2009. He's admitted to us that he might have left the live events for good if we hadn't come through and sure enough he went on to have a fantastic 2009 NFFC season and he's been with the NFBC and NFFC each season since. In fact, he's one of our most intense, most loyal participants now and I think he's helped us as much as we initially helped him. It was a win-win for everyone.

If we can keep any of these WCOFF owners who are owed money in this space for this year I know we can give them what they've wanted and put on an even better first class live event at the Bellagio in Las Vegas and elsewhere. After that, I'm pretty sure they will stick with us and stick in this space.

That's the goal of this promotion and I hope it works for all of us. There are some great, great champions from that contest who have been loyal to this space for 9+ years. Let's not lose them. Let's all do what we can to keep them in the competition.

[/QUOTE]I know we haven't heard everything we need to hear from WCOFF, but this situation is beyond troubling already. And I don't mean to jump too far ahead of ourselves, but if that first weekend of the NFL season in Las Vegas is without that contest and hundreds of people are looking for a new "home" as you say, should the NFFC expand that weekend at the Bellagio with even more 12-team events than we currently have scheduled? We have the space at the Bellagio for more events and we could certainly expand our 12-team reach with auctions, Draft Champions, Super Leagues and even a Thursday night Viewing Party. Heck, we might even have space for another "Fischer Party!!!"

This isn't anything we need to decide now, but we can make the two-weekend experience that we currently have in baseball an even better one in football with the 14-team and 12-team format. We'll give it some thought and come out with a plan, but there's definitely demand for a well run high-stakes football contest on the first weekend of the NFL season in Las Vegas and we will help fill the void beyond what our original plans called for if people want that. Let's see what people think.

Am i gonna have to ask the mrs to approve more funding for more leagues? :D

Let's get the Thursday night viewing party too!!! BTW, I heard a rumor there is gonna be an NFFC penthouse suite party that is allegedly gonna top the Fisher parties!! More on that later...
