TIA This is a post I made after Week 11 last year:

Through 11 weeks of the NFFC's main event, nobody has a perfect record. We do have five teams at 10-1 and they have a shot at tying our NFFC record of 12-1, held by five teams (Mike Ward in 2004 and Josh Ferenc, Ryan Houston, Scott Gunaca and Meat Loaf in 2005). The only undefeated team left in the competition is Glenn Schroter's SVENGALI team in the NFFC Ultimate League as it is currently 11-0 (and fifth in points).

It's interesting to note that of our Top 5 teams in the overall points race, only two are currently in first place in their leagues in head-to-head record. Jules McLean's dominant Pimpin Trigger Jr team is currently second in Las Vegas League 2 with an 8-3 record, one game behind Todd Zola in the race for the h2h title. Bradley Miller's Miller Genuine Shaft is in first place in LV 5 with an 8-3 record and second in the overall points total behind Jules by 186 points. Edward Killmer has his EdCouch New Potatoes team third in the overall points race, but his team is in a four-way tie for first place in New York League 3 at 7-4. Rounding out the Top 5 in total points are Emo Bonaminio (6-5, two games back in Chicago League 4) and James Mack (8-3 in New York League 3, one game out of first place at 7-4).

Rounding out our Top 10 are teams at 10-1, 10-1, 9-2, 5-6 and 9-2. Rob Benetti, our numbers cruncher for the NFFC, is the one who owns the 5-6 team and hopefully he can explain how you can score over 138 points a week and still have a losing record!

Eight of our Top 10 teams did draft from the Top 3 spots, with five of them landing LT or LJ at No. 2. One team had the first pick and two teams had the third pick. The other Top 10 teams drafted from the 6th and 7th spots. Just out of the Top 10 are two teams that drafted 14th, Lewis Lipsey at No. 11 and Rick Hart at No. 12. Great job guys.

I know I'm a week late with this data as we already had another slate of games on Sunday, but I meant to post this last week and then just never finished looking up the results. I still want this data as some folks like to look back at it later on, so here's the data from the 26 main event leagues through Week 10's results:

** If the playoffs started after Week 10, 11 of the 26 league champs would already be determined (42.3%). That means that 15 of the 26 leagues would have the three-week playoff in Weeks 14-16 to determine the remaining $2,500 in league prizes. This is the lowest percentage of teams leading both h2h and total points that I can ever remember at this juncture in the NFFC's four seasons.

** Surprisingly, only 10 of the 26 leagues have ties for best records. Sixteen of 26 leagues have teams alone with best records, ranging from 9-1 to 7-3.

** Of the leagues with ties, seven have two teams tied for first and three have three teams tied for first. Last week there were leagues with as many as five teams tied for first, but things shook out a bit in Week 10.

** There are two teams who are in first place with best record, but sixth in total points. Two other teams are first in h2h record and fourth in total points.

** Chicago has four leagues (out of six) that have teams with best h2h record and total points. NY also has four (out of nine), while Las Vegas has only one league (out of eight) with best h2h record and total points and Tampa also has one (out of three).

All of these facts will change tomorrow, but it's still fun to see how the dynamics of each league change from week to week.
