Who's Coming To The 2007 NFFC And Where?
I held off announcing the return of Jeff and Brian Clampitt of Plainfield, Indiana for a bit as Jeff is still trying to figure out whether he's drafting in Chicago or New York, but the time is right to announce the return of Route Collectors to the NFFC. For now, Jeff and Brian are planning on returning to the Chicago Oakbrook Marriott for a fourth straight year, competing in the NFFC's main evnet and the $650 Auction League. Last year, Route Collectors again made it to the championship round as it finished second in Chicago League 6 and won $2,500 with a 9-4 record and placing 53rd overall with 1,678.35 points. Route Collectors then finished 17th in the Championship Round with 536.21 points. Route Collectors also finished 5-8 in the Chicago Auction League and missed the playoffs with 1,592.1 points. Great job once again guys and best of luck this year in the hunt for the $100,000 grand prize, the $5,000 league prize and the $4,000+ in Auction League prizes.

Who's Coming To The 2007 NFFC And Where?
We're working on our third main event league in the Windy City right now and on pace to top last year's six full leagues in Chicago. Let's give it up for the return of another veteran NFFC member as Paul Clein of Germantown, Tennessee will be returning for a third straight season of competition at the Chicago Oakbrook Marriott on Saturday, Sept. 1st. Paul led his Shrink Attack team to the Championship Round in 2005 and last year Shrink Attack finished 5-8 in Chicago League 3, placing 151st overall with 1,560.95 points. His team did finish strong, however, as it placed 26th in the Consolation Round. Welcome back Paul and best of luck in the hunt for this year's $100,000 grand prize and the $5,000 league prize.

Greg,
How do the teams get slotted into leagues? Is it all random draw? I mean, the shark move might be to wait to sign up to get into a league that doesn't consist of 13 other hard core players who are on these boards every day and have already signed up?!

It's totally random once all of the entries are in. If we get 140 teams in New York, we'll throw all 140 into a hat and pick out the 10 leagues randomly. Then after the random draft slots and leagues are picked, we'll run KDS for each individual league. The same thing happens in the other cities. So it doesn't matter if you signed up first or last, you go into the hat (actually a computer system now does it) the same as everyone else in that city.

Who's Coming To The 2007 NFFC And Where?
We're working on our second main event league in Tampa and glad to welcome back another NFFC veteran to the fold in 2007 as Danny and Pauline Dietrick of Celebration, Florida will be joining us at the Tampa Convention Center on Saturday, Sept. 1st for the big dance. Danny has competed in Chicago the last two years, but this year he's saving some travel time by scooting over to Tampa. Last year, his DIRTY DEEDS team finished 6-7 in Chicago League 3, placing 153rd overall with 1,559.4 points. DIRTY DEEDS then finished seventh in the Consolation Round, just missing a free entry into this year's event. Welcome back Danny and Pauline and best of luck in the hunt for this year's $100,000 grand prize and the $5,000 league prize.

Who's Coming To The 2007 NFFC And Where?
We're glad to welcome back our NFFC Ultimate Draft League champion to the 2007 event as Larry Schechter of Rexford, New York will be back at the New York Hilton for the Ultimate League and the main event on Sept. 1-2. Larry led his Air Lar team to the 2006 Ultimate League championship, winning $32,500 in the process. Air Lar went 8-5 during the regular season while winning $5,000 for the most total points of 1,793.9. That earned Air Lar the second seed and a first round bye, and two victories later, including the Super Bowl win over Eddie Gillis and Shawn Childs, was worth another $27,500. Air Lar didn't fare quite as well in the main event, however, as it finished 4-9 in New York League 2 with 1,558.3 points. Congrats on a great, great season Larry and best of luck this year in the hunt for the $100,000 grand prize, $5,000 league prize and $37,500 in Ultimate League prizes.
