Who's Coming To The 2007 NFFC And Where?

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Thu Jul 05, 2007 10:23 am

Let's give it up for the return of another original NFFC member as the tag team of Erik Newman and Brian Kane of St. Paul, Minnesota will be returning to the NFFC's main event at the Flamingo Las Vegas on Saturday, Sept. 1st. Eric has been with us since 2004 and we're glad to see him back in 2007. Eric led his Sizzlin Sevens team to a 9-4 record in Las Vegas League 5 last year, which tied for the best record, but finished out of the money with 1,466.65 points. Sizzlin Sevens then finished 28th overall in the Consolation Round. Erik obviously wasn't thinking clearly when he signed up on Tuesday as he should have waited until Saturday (7/07/07) to do it with this team name!! :D Welcome aboard guys and best of luck this year in the hunt for the $100,000 grand prize and the $5,000 league prize.

Welcome aboard Todd and we look forward to you being more active on the NFFC boards as well. It's great to have the 2006 WCOFF champ competing in both events this year and you will have a shot at becoming the first NFFC-WCOFF champ, something I know Mark Srebro, Jason Emma, Josh Ferenc and Rob Benetti are also trying to accomplish. Welcome to the NFFC family and I trust we'll treat you just like anyone else (like dog poop!). :D We'll have some drinks together in Vegas.

Let's give it up for the return of another original NFFC member as Anthony Gambuzza of Wayne, New Jersey will be joining us once again at the New York Hilton on Saturday, Sept. 1st for the NFFC's main event. Anthony has been with us since 2004 and last year he led the Thug Life Midgets to a 9-4 record and third place prize money in New York League 4 with 1,718.75 points. The Midgets just missed the Championship Round by three spots as they finished 35th overall in the regular season competition. It's great to see so many original NFFC members returning for a fourth season today as it must be football time with so many signups coming in. Let's give it up once again for the return of Brett Lala of New Orleans, Louisiana as he will be returning to the Flamingo Las Vegas on Saturday, Sept. 1st for the main event. Brett earned $2,500 last year and had a shot at the grand prize as he led his Satisfaction Guaranteed team to a 6-7 record in Las Vegas League 5, placing 20th overall and second in the league with 1,756.0 points. Satisfaction Guaranteed then finished 13th overall in the Championship Round with 553.48 points. Great season Brett and best of luck this year in the hunt for the $100,000 grand prize and the $5,000 league prize.

We're glad to welcome back another veteran NFFC member from north of the border to the 2007 event as Terrance Mailloux of Kitchener, Ontario Canada will be back for a second year of competition. Terrance had a fine debut season in New York last year, but this year he will be drafting at the Chicago Oakbrook Marriott. Terrance led Team Canada to a 9-4 record in New York League 6, placing 152nd overall with 1,560.6 points and then leading Team Canada to a 31st place finish in the Consolation Round. Welcome back Terrance and best of luck in the hunt for this year's $100,000 grand prize and the $5,000 league prize.
