We're glad to welcome back another original member of the NFFC family back in 2007 as Mike Ferre of Peoria, Illinois will be returning to the Chicago Oakbrook Marriott for another season of fun. Big Mike and his partner Darryl Lechniak have dominated the Draft Champions format in the past and they even helped to introduce the concept of a DC league while bidding with actual points for your draft spots. Darryl is going to be in Spain during Draft Day, but Mike will hold down the fort as he will compete in the Chicago $650 Draft Champions League and the Chicago $650 Auction League. Last year, their Ugly Green Tomatoes finished sixth in the Chicago DC with 2,440.65 points and their UTY Bubba's Auction House just missed the playoffs with a 6-7 record and 1,598.55 points. Welcome back guys and best of luck this year in the hunt for the $4,250 Draft Champions League prize and the $4,000+ in Auction League prizes.

We're on a roll here as we welcome yet another original member of the NFFC gang back for a fourth season. Mark Griffith of Charlestown, Massachusetts has been with us since 2004 and in 2006 he won $5,000 and the league title in New York League 6 with a 10-3 record. His Cobra Kai team placed 23rd overall during the regular season and then placed 25th in the Championship Round with 518.77 points. Mark and his wife are expecting a child later this month, so his destination is still up in the air, but we'll work with him to make sure he gets a chance to defend his league title. Welcome back Mark and best of luck in the hunt for this year's $100,000 grand prize and the $5,000 league prize.

We've started our seventh league for the main event in New York today as we welcome a Top 10 finisher from last season. Michael Treffiletti of Clifton Park, New York led his ALL IN team to a second place finish and $2,500 last year in New York League 4 as it went 9-4 in the regular season and finished eighth overall with 1,818.10 points. ALL IN then placed 41st in the Championship Round with 478.16 points. Great job Michael, especially drafting from the 11th spot. Michael will be returning to the New York Hilton this year for the main event on Saturday, Sept. 1st and we wish him best of luck in the hunt for this year's $100,000 grand prize and the $5,000 league prize.

It's always good to welcome an original member of the NFFC and NFBC families back for another season of competition and that's what we get to do now with the arrival of Phillip McDonald of Huntsville, Alabama. Phillip has signed up for the NFFC Trifecta in Chicago as he's going to compete in the main event, the $650 Draft Champions League and the $650 Auction League at the Chicago Oakbrook Marriott on Aug. 31-Sept. 1. Philip is coming off a season in which all of his NFFC teams finished fifth in their leagues last year. His Big Mac Attack finished 7-6 in Chicago League 5 of the main event, placing 104th overall with 1,612.0 points. His Big Mac Attack earned the fifth seed in the $650 Auction League with an 8-5 record and 1,533.2 points and then lost in the first round of the playoffs. And his Big Mac Attack placed fifth in the $650 Draft Champions League with 2,528.95 points. Welcome back Phillip and best of luck in the hunt for the $100,000 grand prize, the $5,000 league prize, the $4,250 Draft Champions League prize and the $4,000+ in Auction League prizes.
