Post by Greg Ambrosius » Wed Aug 08, 2007 3:25 am

We're working on a second $650 Auction League in Chicago now as we've added another returning owner to the competition. Luke Hickok of Angola, Indiana led his A-town Aces team to a 6-7 record and 1,528.8 points in the Chicago Auction League last year and he's coming back this year at the Chicago Oakbrook Marriott on Friday, Aug. 31st. Welcome back Luke and best of luck in the hunt for this year's $4,000+ in Auction League prizes.

We're glad to welcome back another original member of the NFFC family to the 2007 event as John Piontek of Orlando, Florida will be joining us again for the main event. John has competed in the main event in Las Vegas and New York and this year he's staying closer to home by signing up for the Tampa main event. John won a national contest in 2003 and has had good success in the NFFC in the past, but last year his Superpions team struggled to a 5-8 record in Las Vegas League 2 and 1,332.50 points. Welcome back John and best of luck in the hunt for the $100,000 grand prize and the $5,000 league prize.

We're now at 290 signups for the main event among the four cities as we welcome back another three-year NFFC veteran for 2007. Let's give it up for Perry Lin of Hoboken, New Jersey as he will be returning to the NFFC's main event at the Flamingo Las Vegas on Saturday, Sept. 1st. Perry joined us in Las Vegas in 2005 and then went to New York last year, but will be in Las Vegas for business on Labor Day weekend this year. Perry led the Punching Perrys to a 6-7 record in New York League 4 last year and placed 177th overall with 1,543.55 points. The Punching Perrys then finished 83rd overall in the Consolation Round. Welcome back Perry and best of luck in the hunt for this year's $100,000 grand prize and the $5,000 league prize.

We're glad to welcome another original member of the NFFC family to the 2007 event in Tampa as Edward Killmer will claim home field advantage this year at the Tampa Convention Center. Edward has had great success drafting in New York the past few years and last year he led his EdCouch New Potatoes team to the New York League 3 title and $5,000 as it went 9-4 and placed third overall with 1,837.55 points. EdCouch New Potatoes then won another $1,250 in the Championship Round as it placed 6th with 579.85 points. Ed is doing a great job of recruiting for us in Tampa and he's brought in several buddies to draft with us in the main event. Congrats on a great, great season Ed and best of luck this year in the hunt for the $100,000 grand prize and the $5,000 league prize.

Let's keep it going with the Tampa signups as Ed Killmer is doing all he can to fill up a third league for us. We welcome back an original member of the NFFC family as Corey Killmer will be returning for the main event, the fourth straight time he's competed in this one. Corey has competed in New York the last three times, but the Tampa native is staying close to home and drafting at the Tampa Convention Center on Saturday, Sept. 1st. Welcome back Corey and best of luck in the hunt for the $100,000 grand prize and the $5,000 league prize.

We also welcome the Tampa trio of Bob Fargo, Brian McBride and Eilam Isaack as all three signed up yesterday and will be drafting in the main event at the Tampa Convention Center. All three are new to the NFFC this year, but they all wanted to compete before but just couldn't make the trip to New York. Now that the NFFC is in their back yard, they're eager to participate. Welcome aboard guys and best of luck to each of you in the hunt for this year's $100,000 grand prize and the $5,000 league prize.
