We begin our 22nd league in the main event this afternoon with the arrival of another NFFC veteran as Joe Williams of Uncasville, Connecticut will be returning to the New York Hilton on Saturday, Sept. 1st. Joe competed in the NFFC for the first time last year and he led his DBL JJ Ranch team to a 5-8 record in New York League 3 and finished with 1,490.8 points. Joe said his local league has been using 3RR for the last 12 years, so he's excited about competing in the NFFC this year with 3RR. Welcome back Joe and best of luck in the hunt for this year's $100,000 grand prize and the $5,000 league prize.

New York is making a strong push to be the No. 1 site for NFFC drafters again this year as we're closing in on our seventh league in the main event there. Let's give it up for the return of Anthony Maresca of Brooklyn, New York as he will be drafting with Mike Demaio this year at the New York Hilton on Saturday, Sept. 1st. Anthony led Team Maresco to a fourth place finish in New York League 1 last year with an 8-5 record, placing 102nd overall with 1,615.1 points. Team Maresca then placed 42nd in the Consolation Round. Welcome back Anthony and Mike and best of luck in the hunt for the $100,000 grand prize and the $5,000 league prize.

We now have 18 owners signed up for the $650 Auction League in Chicago as we welcome another new owner to the NFFC family. Let's give it up for Timothy Hanson of Minneapolis, Minnesota as he will be joining us at the Chicago Oakbrook Marriott on Friday, Aug. 31st. Can we get two auction leagues in the Windy City? Let's hope so. Welcome aboard Tim and best of luck in the hunt for this year's $4,000+ in Auction League prizes.

How tough was Chicago League 2 last year? Well, so tough that the team that finished 41st overall in total points couldn't even cash in that league. The tag team of Glen Brien and Geoff Chiarelli of Woodridge, Illinois led their Perfect Spiral team to a 7-6 record in Chicago 2 and finished 41st overall with 1,702.25 points, but finished fourth in the league. Wow, what a tough break. Fortunately, Glen and Geoff are coming back for more punishment this year as they just signed up for the NFFC's main event at the Chicago Oakbrook Marriott. Welcome back guys and best of luck this year in the hunt for the $100,000 grand prize and the $5,000 league prize.

We now have 299 owners for the NFFC's main event as we welcome another original member of the NFFC and NFBC families back in 2007. Let's give it up for Sean Brinlee of Monrovia, California as he will be joining us at the Flamingo Las Vegas on Saturday, Sept. 1st for the big dance. Sean led Team Brinlee to a 6-7 record in Las Vegas League 6 last year and right now he's trying to lead his SCOTTISH RAIDERS to a league title in the NFBC as he's having a solid season there. Welcome back Sean and best of luck in the hunt for this year's $100,000 grand prize and the $5,000 league prize.
