Just curious, is Blue Foot the guy who used to have his drunken cat make his picks for him?
If not, what ever happened to that guy?
He was always good for a few crazy posts.

Sadly, Mystery the cat died a few years ago. Here are some brief "facts" about Mystery:
1. He was originally owned by Ed Hockuli. Ed kept him in a bag in his garage because Mystery had overheard a phone conversation that Ed had with fellow referees. The subject of the conversation was how the referees could hold the league hostage because they control the game with pass interference calls. Ultimately, the league caved and gave the referees a big salary increase. When Ed realized that Mystery could understand the nature of his conversation, he put him in a bag and would only let him out to eat and drink once a week. He would kick the bag once a day or so and then flex.
2. Mystery escaped and fled to the desert. There he was adopted by a Navajo Indian tribe. He learned sign language and began speaking Navajo by signing with his paws. He tried to get an interview on a Mexican NFL Radio station to tell his story about Ed Hockuli, but the station manager felt that because he could only sign that nobody would believe Chief Nochesta was actually translating Navaho sign language into Spanish. Mystery left dejected and embarrassed. He couldn't face the tribe and ran away again.
3. I found Mystery at a pound in Copperas Cove, Texas in 2001. I found it surprising that it was so easy to teach him to watch football. He would watch every game, make strange movements with his paws, and look at me like I was stupid. Finally, one day when I was making my fantasy picks he stepped on the keyboard and made a pick! I was having a bad year anyway so figured that I would leave the pick in place. Yep...you guessed it! It was just the first of many picks made by Mystery! Several years later, I met a young lady who knew Navajo sign language. That's another story...but imagine my surprise when I realized my cat was a fantasy football guru!
4. I cannot prove it, but Ed Hockuli was not officiating the weekend my cat was found dead in my kitchen. A small yellow piece of cloth filled with sand on one end was found in Mystery's water dish. It was the only evidence that anything was unusual had taken place. Once every few weeks one of my players is in a game officiated by Hockuli. Inevitably, he calls back a big play made by one of my players. When he gets the camera shot, he smiles a little, kicks his foot just a bit, makes the call, and flexes! It nearly brings me to tears every time. I still miss my cat!
