I am unfortuneately still starting my week 1 lineup and have ridden them to an 0-8 start. My luck has been fine, my drafting was the problem.
VY, Gore, Jordan, Owens, Evans, Driver, San Holmes, Shockey
Last year one of my keys was the fact that I was able to start the same lineup in week 16 as in week 1. They all stayed healthy and got hot at the right time.

With the exception of Drew Bennett, my lineup is the same. Palmer, LJ, J.Lewis, Galloway, Housh, Hines(out a few weeks early), Witten, Cowboys, Elam, Devery (Brian Leonard). This has been good for a 3-5 record.
Thank a Soldier, a Veteran, and their Family.

Either that, or have an incredibly deep team (4 deep at RB, 5 deep at WR, etc.) that can fill the "temporary holes."
Without one or both of these factors in play, I'm afraid it's downright impossible to succeed.

SNAKE's lament
In 2 years I haven't started my starting lineup once no joke not once last year I knew Portis was out at the start but couldn't account for the hand later. This year I did the main and 2 sattelites and am proud to say the only team not smoked by injuries is in third and climbing without Brady!

So far (knock on wood) I've been playing my same lineup as Week 1 and I think that it's been going pretty good so far. I just hope that the injury bug passes me by this year.
