Wednesday for Thursday players only is really awful idea in my opinion. That makes both waivers EXTREMELY BUSY as you have to compare all free agents to the Thursday ones. The double waiver, with all players Wednesday does not make Friday one quite as busy, but still has to be done and shouldn't need to have to be in my opinion. I also agree with Coyote. More skill on Wednesdays, frees up weekends for everyone, all players available, one waiver. Easily best solution in my opinion. Operators here and FFPC are smart and deduced Wednesday only was best for Thursday games in the past. Just because there are more of them doesn't mean it is sitll the best solution. chad , you might not have to compare and pick thru the fa as it might be possible to only have that list by itself and the other 30 teams on different list. cant speak for greg and tom but im sure they can keep it apart.
I get Chad's point -- you need to budget your money on Wednesday so you know what you're going to spend on Friday, and vice versa. However, I don't believe there will be many players worthy of large bids on Wednesday, and probably not more than 4 or 5 pickups total per league.

But if the waivers were on Fridays only and the Seahawks were playing the Packers the previous Sunday, then the Rams on Thursday, and they were available in FAAB, you would have to pick them up the previous week (most likely bench them) drop a player, then not be able to drop the Seahawks D for 2 weeks from time of pickup (cant drop them after Thursday game).. Just seems like Friday FAAB is not a good option with Thursday games.

A Friday only FAAB that doesn't allow the Thursday players to be picked up each week could eliminate a lot of good fantasy games for all of us. It didn't make sense to have a Friday only FAAB when the NFL added Thursday games in Week 10 and it's tough to justify that now when there are Thursday games from Week 1 to 16. Do most people agree with that?
Process of elimination here folks....help me along. I'm not saying Friday only FAAB isn't the answer, but I think most people would like a shot at picking up all available players every week, right?

I hate to muddy the waters on options, but let's throw out Glenn's WCOFF option for a full season and get feedback:
Could you run full FAAB each Wednesday night for all 32 teams and then have a Friday night or even Saturday FAAB for all remaining non-picked up free agents? Basically it's a fallback FAAB for anyone who missed a kicker or a D/ST or maybe even an RB who was declared a late starter after an injury at practice on Friday. Yes, it's more work, but we're trying to find the best solution.
Would this be too much for owners or a perfect fallback solution?
So again: FAAB every Wednesday at 9 or 10 pm EST
2nd FAAB every Friday night or even Saturday for all remaining free agents in your league who weren't picked up the first time. No players cut from Wednesday would be added to this player pool.
This actually makes sense. Thoughts?

This actually makes sense. Thoughts? I wouldn't mind this.. Just to clarify, no free agents would be able to be picked up Friday from the Thursday games, correct?

This actually makes sense. Thoughts? If you were going to do 2 FA's periods this is by far my favorite out of the options.
Yes, no free agents from the Thursday game and no free agents that were dropped during the Wednesday FAAB. This way the Friday pool is unchanged from what everyone already processed for Wednesday's FAAB, thus no additional work is "necessary", necessary being the key word for my buddy Nelson.
