Teams QUITTING in Week 4 already...

Post by Shrink Attack » Mon Oct 02, 2006 10:46 am

Don't forget that the proposed system wouldn't PREVENT someone from starting a player on a bye if they ACTIVELY chose to do so.

The system would automatically bench bye week and IR players on Tuesday, but the active Owner can then purposefully activate them anytime prior to kickoff if that's their choice.

The whole purpose is to prevent ABANDONED teams from ruining the integrity of the event.

I agree that you can play bye guys if need be. Just thinking about the guy who quits setting his roster because he is out of it.

Seems like a simple solution to have teams set up with active players on tuesday and then you can change it however you like.

Is that what this is really about? ... have the most quiters in your league and increase your chances to win $100,000 ... Hmmm ... no wonder the overall champ is never from Chicago.

That crap happens to everyone ... we are talking about default settings for teams on Tuesday to put up Minimum teams for those people who Quit. After Tuesday ... you can set the team up anyway you want to.

If anyone was in Chicago #5 last season, you would understand more where Shrink is coming from with this. We had a team who didn't even show up for the draft and another quit midseason. The team who was a no show had his lineup submitted twice, if I remember correctly....so many teams played them when they had a decent lineup and many played them when they had numerous players on a bye. Something like this needs a fair remedy to keep the integrity of the league intact. Heck, they could've had their entire team benched from the beginning and it would've been fair for all.

You just knew it was going to happen, the team that started inactive Travis Henry and BYE week kicker Feeley losy by 16 points to the undefeated team, while FARGAS 5.4 points on the bench and not one bid on a kicker to fill in for Feely. Very frustrating that nothing can be done about this.....

No way!

Less "government/big brother" = better.

You should roll over a team via tiebreaker with points if he's quit.

Otherwise...you weren't good enough this season anyway.

If there's suspected collusion...report it...but let the dead money stay dead.
