To me the best players are in the DC'S and Auction events.
HMan83 Of course that "incentive based idea" crossed my mind as well...(the 4x part)...but it is a business...no matter how beautiful the painting of a family.

Im not knocking winning $40,000. Im not knocking putting a guy on the cover for winning $40,000. It's great for business and great for the NFFC.

I was asking just for opinion and for a skill and rankings purpose. Would like to take what KJ duke did and Cut the ultimate down to where it should be. IMO I think it's skill to win is worth a little bit over winning a NFFC $650 Auction.

Just my Opinion.....

Terp Dave, it's not too hard to figure out the difference between 1 point per reception for RBs and 0.5 points per reception for RBs and 4 points for QB passing TDs and 6 points for QB passing TDs. Those are the only real scoring differences, other than what we give for defenses.

But remember, we allow 3RR and KDS, which I think in the Ultimate League would be greatly appreciated. It's a fun, very competitive league with a good payback for 3-4 teams out of 14. Those throwing stones have never competed in this glass house.

Just my Opinion..... Okay, I won't argue with any of your points Johnny. I don't know who is overemphasizing the Ultimate Champ, but it's your thread so we'll let you continue. Somehow Eddie must be involved in this.

But during the last two years, our NFFC Ultimate League participants have included the Lifetime Standings leader (KOQ), the 2004 NFFC champ (Gekko), the only NFFC Trifecta champ in one year (Lumpy & Kyle), the 2004 regular season points leader (Team NEW), one of the most successful owners in 2005 (Mark Moyer) and several league champs. Both Ultimate League champs (Eddie Gillis and Larry Schechter) have strong fantasy resumes. In 2005, the format allowed four different owners to cash between $5,000 and $27,500. In 2006, three owners cashed between $12,500 and $32,500. The format allows good h2h and total points teams to make the playoffs and dominant regular season teams to cash right away. The owners in this format are as strong collectively or stronger than any other single event we run, regardless of the entry fee.

Personally, it's ridiculous to even single out one event to discuss its merits over another one, unless it's personal with one of the owners. Otherwise, let's recognize the champ for a great, great accomplishment and move on.

Im just about the stats and finding out who the best core of players are in the NFFC. Just wanted to see what people think. I think winning money should be in a league of it's own. There should be a skill ranking as well as a money ranking. Two seperate things IMO......

I am in this for the thrill of the game as much as anything and think the Ultimate League would be a total rush. The high stakes and higher level of competition make it a must play if you can afford to do so.

I would love to play in the Ultimate but at this stage of my life I cannot justify putting that much money at risk for one league. Sorry for backing out.

Now maybe if I win another 100K I could squeeze it into the budget for 08?
