It seems like fraud to me and yes, I know I am taking this a bit far.

There are no guarantees that the Colts are going to make it to their goal nor is there one shred of evidence that suggests this resting period improves a teams chance of succeeding. If they do not reach their goal, they should reimburse the fans for these last two weeks worth of crap they fielded.

They gave up a chance to make history for a shot at a goal that requires them to win 3 more games after resting for 3 weeks. Yeah, that is likely. (not)

Sitting players is like playing scared to me. Like playing not to lose instead of trying to win. It rubs me the wrong way and is an injustice to the game, especially when it affects others. Their decision affected the competitive balance and that is bad Karma.

Go Bengals. Now that Vick has won an award, maybe Ced can be the SB MVP? How special would that be?

yeah I know, what if Manning got hurt? How many years has he played? How many games has he missed? I cannot remember. Amen Rob...you actually get it! Season ticket holders already get raped for 2 pre-season games...now make it 3 for the 2009 season.

It's funny to me the double speak that comes from pro sports. When players are held accountable beyond what they want then they say it's just a game. When questions are raised about player/coaches salaries...ticket prices etc...we're told it's an entertainment business.

I can tell ya about 70,000 people that weren't entertained tonight. It'slike going to see a movie and they shut it down with 30 min left. You're allowed to stay but the movies not coming back on.

There are no crystal balls to gaze into for any of us. I had J.freeman as my only other option. It cost me a big 5 pts.

The real issue here is how badly the fans got cheated. People paid good money...braved bad weather conditions and were shocked when the starters got pulled. After all...the starters played the entire game last week on the road with absolutely nothing to gain and Caldwell says all week he's going to play it like the Jax game so we all believed the starters are playing unless it gets out of hand either way.

It was 15-10 with 8 min to go in the 3rd. If you guessed they were coming out at that point then you're a freakin genius...but hey...congrats on the lucky call to play Orton.

I couldn't imagine Peyton having a ceiling above the low 20's ... to go along with a lot of downside. If they get a nice lead he sits, if it's close he's having a bad game. Couldn't see starting him over any legit QB option. Being that Josh Freeman was your only option, I'd agree it wasn't an obvious call. As for this being a no-skill decision, I still disagree. I expected to be in this position weeks ago and made sure I had 3 QBs on my roster.

As for my decision on Sims-Walker vs Santana Moss, all I can say is that those are two of the most unpredictable fantasy flakes in the game. Permission to slap me if I EVER draft Santana Moss again.

That issue aside, we're in complete agreement on the lack of sportsmanship by Colts mgt.

yes im a jet fan. that aside i think the colts made a mockery of the nfl season. you might say it is something they earned by playing so well but they made teams that did not deserve to make the playoffs make it. there next meaningful game will be in a month. i think they should have rested players in the second half next week if they were to do it at all. just my opinion.

Jeff is dead right here.

The colts had nothing to play for ... except a undefeated season.

So they play the first Quarter against Jax
They play the second Quarter against Jax
They play the third Quarter against Jax
They play the fourth Quarter against Jax
They play the first Quarter against NYJ
They play the second Quarter against NYJ
Then they are pulled in the third Quarter?
What changed? ... the risk of injury?

How do you roll the dice for 6 quarters then say it's too risky? What? After pulling them ... they better not dress for week 17!

For the record ... I sat both Wayne and Manning. Played Clark but didn't really have a much better option.

[/QUOTE]I'm not bitter Kevin....OK maybe a little I am disappointed that my FF hopes were dashed though. I had a really good chance to win the other $2500. I was gonna use my half of it to support my upcoming mission trips so I'm a little bummed but I'll get over it.

You know I was just kidding you about Moss...you had to go with the upside! Hope you have a great 2010.

its a little funny. some of the same people who defended teams not putting in a full lineups and quit in some leagues got quit on by the colts. say what you believe and believe in what you say.

The Colts didn't give up, it looked to me like Painter was trying like hell to win.

Sorry if it affected your fantasy team but if you got treated to 20 min of Painter, Brown and Baskett instead of Manning, Addai and Wayne and you are a Colts fan you probably didn't mind. Only fantasy football players cared.

I dare someone to tell me this is a game of skill while using this game to support your arguement.

As much as I love FF...I really hate it right now.

Message to Jim Caldwell...."be your own man..Tonys not your boss any more" Jeff,

Your problem was you didn't read the Topic:
Topic: Who is sitting Colts and who are you starting in their place?

Started by Sandman62, who's he, please read:
Topic: The Best NEW Fantasy Football Players to join NFFC.

Sandman62 partner is 14 years old. Maybe it's time to go back to school. :D

Yep, just about everyone saw it coming.

John

PS. KJ, why did you bench S.Moss for Walker?
