If the Dolphins sign Bowe and Peyton Manning, you'll add Brandon Marshall and Dwayne Bowe to this list for sure.

[/QUOTE]No argument there...But maybe Peyton is good enough to make Marshall reach for every pass. Just within reach, and make him work for each catch. He's the only WR in the league where you SHOULDN'T put it in the numbers on his chest.

After a dismal start to this season, and after a bunch of injuries which may have been avoided with a spring training, I thought this year ended up with some really great football to watch. If Miami signed Manning and Bowe, it would make for a great start to the 2012 season.(sorry Indy)...It makes for good hype, and good ratings.

I'll try to break them down in tiers. These aren't exact rankings, just where I'd currently feel comfortable slotting them based on potential. The players are listed in order of how I'd currently rank them in their tiers

Potential Top 5-10 WRs
Greg Jennings
Hakeem Nicks
Victor Cruz

Potential Top 10-15 WRs
Roddy White
Jordy Nelson
Mike Wallace

Potential Top 15-20 WRs
Miles Austin
Julio Jones
Antonio Brown
Dez Bryant

Potential Top 20-25 WRs
Laurent Robinson

Tom, not being from Wisconsin, I don't get to see much of Jordy Nelson. Is he really in the same boat as RODDY WHITE? I just feel if I had the choice of Roddy White or Jordy Nelson a thousand times, I would choose Roddy White 1000 times.

I'd definitely take White over him as well but Nelson was WR10 this season in the NFFC and I think he remains a low-end WR1 candidate for 2012. Now much of that fantasy production was due to his 15 TDs and it's likely that number could decline. But keep in mind the level of play we saw from Nelson this season actually began late in 2010. So I don't think he's a one-year wonder.

He obviously has a stud QB who trusts him and he's a huge big-play threat. He's only 26 and entering the prime of his career. I'd definitely take White over but I believe Nelson has Top 10-15 potential again for 2012.

Tom did Roddy White pee in your cherios? He was 3rd and 1st respectively the last two years. He still had a crazy amount of targets this year even with Julio on the other side. What gives?

Keep in mind, though, that I think the WR position could be absolutely loaded next season. So even if I have White ranked closer to 10 than 5 that doesn't mean I don't like him. I just think he could slightly decline next season with several other WRs poised to improve. Based on the early indications there could be a large number of WR1 candidates in 2012.
