Once the bidding is over and the player has been secured people can talk all they want... people can applaud or poke fun at it.. We all know how much you spend for a player is the essence of the auction. Being pushed into to overspending or getting him under value is the name of the game. When someone starts mocking a players value during the bidding or starts hyping a player and pushing someone to bid the extra dollar is does impact that process.

-I know some have mentioned drink prices, food prices and parking robberies... I dont drink and parking was not a problem (this time) but I did hear from some who were on the fence about this event say "its not just the 1300 entry fee but the 200-300 more you spend just being in NYC why don't they do it outside of the city?" Again, I am not sure how this could be gotten around. Maybe guys are mainly into the draft itself and less about being around mid-town Manhatten and would be more into this in a setting that was less expensive? I personally do not have a strong feeling about it and am just echoing things I heard. Mr. Mack,

Good post. On hearing picks from other drafts, some kind of wall, in between each draft would help.

AC, parking is 5.00 bucks at a Atlantic City Casino. Maybe 10.00 at the most for Saturday. Parking is easy as well as getting in and out.

The part I hated the most was the drive into the City and the drive out of the City. I beleive more would go and make a weekend out of it.

72 teams would turn into 144 teams.

I am sure from a marketing perspective having one of the regional locations in "New York City" looks and sounds nice. However, I think the guys are here to draft, not enjoy fine dining, sight see around time square or take the circle line. I am not sure they let you into Benny Bensons Steakhouse with an Eli Manning jersey on...lol

Just throwing out an idea that might lead to more guys joining the fray. I am going to be there no matter where we draft. But would people be adverse to drafting in a convention hall around the Meadowlands? I would have to expect this would save $$ for the NFFC and obviously the participants. Maybe more $ into the prize fund?

I believe I met several of you and I'm sure that was nice, though honestly I really don't remember much after the first draft.

I do recall meeting and chatting with Eddie Gillis who was my neighbor in the NBC 12 teamer and who I think saved my bacon a few times by nudging me awake before my pick. BIG shout-out to you Eddie... thanks! Any fan of ACDC who also keeps me from getting skipped is a friend of mine for life.

We had plenty of room in Chicago in the barn. I saw people get food or snacks but our draft got to the first break after the food was gone. They did have cookies for us.

No swag for sale was a bummer? Would have liked a shirt or hat or ..... maybe even something to bring back to the boss lady? Missed opportunity that I would be wlling to fill next year.

It was good seeing the Chicago group though.

Thanks to all of the facilitators in Chitown. They were all excellent.

3 hours between leagues was brutal. I would keep it to 90 minutes as a buffer next year and maybe have some form of food so we don't have to leave.

I can help with this next year. I can have Hunrgy Hill Sausage come in and set up some serious grub if given the opportunity. No one will go away hungry.

Draft was great! Facilitators were fast and knowledgeable which is always a plus. Michelle Nunes was extremely easy on the eyes. Greg was an awesome host as always! The Pizza on friday after the DC was an unexpected plus. Really getting a chance to meet all of the MB people was a plus this year! Last year we planned to talk to alot of people, but missed the chance. I think the only person I planned on meeting but missedon was Paul Clein, Shrink Attack, sorry Paul, just too much going on I guess. The break was a bit long. We really had 3.5 hours as we finished a little early. 2 to 2.5 seems enough to me to get a nice rest and a bite to eat. Last but not least, some nice NFFC gear, especially a jersey would be nice. Mike and I planned on each getting one and adding the Hard Heads logo to it, but only some polos and hats. Talked to Greg about it personally and agree with his reasons, but the more people that show interest the bigger possibility we can make it happen for 2009.

As an original WCOFFer in Las Vegas, the experience of walking into a room with hundreds of fellow ff fanatics (even though you only know a few) is overwhelming. It definitely adds to your overall enjoyment of the entire event.
I left WCOFF to
try NFFC in Florida for two years now to save some $$$ (since I go to LV other times), but the poor turnout has made me realize that I really missed the tumult and hysteria of being surrounded by other crazies.

Having said that, I would encourage Tom and Greg to consider staying a three locations (Florida is done) and also consider Atlantic City instead of NYC. That would give North and South Easteners a reason to spend the weekend there and have the gambling and shows that Las Vegas offers.

As for me, I would not consider Atlanta, Dallas or New Orleans because I do not think it would meet the attendance levels, so it will be LV or Atlantic City.

For obvious reasons now I don't think New Orleans would ever be considered. The time of the year simply doesn't make sense...unfortunately.
